I'm a pretty short and skinny guy, 5'5 125 pounds 22 years of age. I don't know my body fat percentage but It's definitely low. I've been a wreck for the past couple of months, my girlfriend of 4 years left me and it's really taken a toll on me mentally, physical, and financially. Recently though things have been getting a bit better, I've gotten a better position at work and I've been getting inspired to live more healthier. I've recently been taking multivitamins and learning how to cook to stay away from processed foods. I've also been working out and learning good bodybuilding techniques from Scoobys YouTube channel. I just bought 5 pounds of 100% whey, 600g bottle of creatine, and 1000 count of fish oil. I currently have a bench press cage, pull up bar, and dumbbells. My goal is to make myself become more active, strong, and of course more ascetically appealing. I'm new to this whole world, I'm learning the basics like breathing and how much weight I should use but I'm still a bit confused on supplement doses, types of workouts, beginning routines, and how to efficiently get gains. I'd like any input and tips, thanks

Welcome to Ef sorry I didn't see this earlier scobbys YouTube was awesome but he recently stopped making videos some of my favorite youtubers for me is tigerfitness, strengthcamp, physiquesofgreatness, and flexforall2 they are all knowledgeable. I noticed you are looking to cook look up leanbodylifestyle on YouTube his name is micheal kory he is a good healthy cook

Good job on wanting a change in your life, now I take it you work out at home? If so you can still make everything work I would go to google and type in beginning workout routines for men there is literally thousands out there just read them over and if you would like you can copy and paste it back on here and I will review it for you.

Supplements are a good start keep in mind they are not always necessary but always good to have you basically want to take in protein around 1gram to 1.5 gram per body weight so in your case you would want to take in 187 grams of protein a day it does not need to be your powder. You want lean meats like chicken, turkey, tilapia, and tuna. Those all are good examples of high protein meals. If your goal is to gain muscle you want to find your average calorie intake and up it a few hundred every week basically stuff your face all day (with the foods mentioned not candy bars lol)

Creatine should be supplemented everyday at 5grams be sure to drink a gallon of water or around there.

Don't worry so much about gains they will come with time and proper training

Welcome and good to see you trying to change your life, congratulations. :)

If you want something simple, you can try a balanced 40/30/30 or if you're looking for natural anabolic results, consider doing a modified CKD aka evolutionary diet.

It is a good life style to live.

Keep educating yourself. The more you know, the better your results you will have. We can tell you a million things, but we are all different. At the end of the day, you have to find what works best for you. There are certain principles that are timeless and are a mainstay.. but there are also many variables that come along. A certain change in training, or a change in your diet could give you greater results than a certain routine someone else has put you on. Knowledge is power.

Hey bro, same boat as you on the partner split of just a little longer than your relationship. Don't worry in time you will see the positives of no longer being together. I call it being faab (free as a bird!). Anyways all perfect advice up top. Stay consistent, always start with compound lifts and eating right is the key to your results. When your comfortable use a calorie counter (i use my fitness pal on my android) and go for a 40% protein 30% carb 30% fat split with 1 gram to 1.5 gram per body weight of protein. An app will track this all easily for you and its much easier than it sounds. Then you want to work out your calorie intake which you can do here Harris Benedict Equation to roughly work out how many calories you need to maintain your body weight and you can bump it up 500 cals a day to gain or down 500 cals to cut. This will most likely need some adjusting but using the mirror you will soon work it out. Best of luck to you man.

Write down all the reason ye broke up and all things you didnt like about her.. keep thrm on a list and look at them everyday.. you will quickly get over her..
