new PR on bench

Haven't been posting any progress lately, Ive been really busy, but have still been hitting the weights hard, although I have missed 3 workouts in the past three weeks....very rare for me. Maybe its done me good, b/c today I nailed 300lbs w/ ease!! I was planning on 295 but felt so good went for 300. I then tried 315 and got like 2/3 the way up and stuck...oh well, im still happy with my progress!! New member of the 300 club
 
Around 2 months ago I hit 315 on my flat and I must say it’s a big surprise when you hit it.
Don’t go too hard on them though or you’ll burn out relatively quickly.

Congratulations on getting past 300.

welcome to the big show.......... it may not seem like a lot compared to the folks here of elite.......... but remember, roughly only 1% of the earths population can bench press 300 or more

I thought the percentage would be less than that.
 
Awesome job. Keep up the good work. By the way, how long did it take to go from 275 to hit 300. I've been stuck at 275 for a while now.
 
1% huh, glad im fortunate to be able to lift. i guess most people on earth dont have that privelage so that prolly why its so low.

honestly i was stuck at 275 forever and stopped flat benching for about 2 years. Now ive been on the 5X5 for a while and have been only benching consistently again for about a month and half. The weight feels lighter every week!
