We may have a new member coming aboard. His name is Vincent Dizenzo. He is a 700lb bencher and is in the Bill Crawford camp last i seen. When he gets here he will say whats up. I think we could really use his input here. I look forwrd to his arrival!!

Welcome Vince.

yeah, i figured he'd be coming , i saw you talking to him over on the go heavy boards. Hope he comes, we could use a guy like that

I have his age, height, weight and best lift as of a few months ago in my archives. I will look for it tomorrow, but hopefully he can tell you himself before I dig it up.

He is a very strong fella though.

Will be good to have him here.

I just got an email and he is guest lifting and will come here monday.

I too have his stats but the ones i had i think he is much stronger now. He trains with Bill Crawford and Glen Chabot so their numbers go up regularly!!

Welcome Vince.

Firstly, welcome Vincent.

Secondly,
PLJay,

Doesn't that make you only the third best bencher on the board now? :) I guess that'll give you some serious inspiration.

Also, I figure if I can't learn to lift big whilst frequenting this board with all of these great lifters then there is something seriously wrong.

Let me tell you what i am looking forward too. I am 3rd now, Ryan and Vince are hittin huge numbers. I wanna learn from them. I want info and help. I have given my way of thinking and training and supplements to many people here and outside of here. But i know these guys have worked hard to lift what they do. 1st off i can look back through my mags and see where both men wee hittin in the mid 600's. I got a pic of Vince in a power mag hittin 640. That was my last attempt in a meet. Now here he is over 700.

My point is you can see that these guys are mortal!! There experince is more important then what some article says. Every one can write on how to bench big but not everyone can do it. I like to hear from experince. And Vince in my opinion, works out with the smartest bencher alive, Bill Crawford. Ya Ryan is on top but he is big and looks like he can bench 800! Just liek Chabot does. But Bill though he is big lifts very scientificlly and uses his shirt to its max potential. Ryan and Glen can bench huge raw, now i am not saying Bill cannot , but someone said he benches around 600 raw. Now i am sure Vince can clear that up but you telling me he gets 165lbs out of his shirt? Holy shit!! Thats what i wanna learn!!

Where was he guest benching?? I had a guy named Vinnie guest bench at my meet today. He's a monster. He was warming up by doing 3-boards and his ROM was about 2". It would be like my Monkey-armed ass doing a 9-board press, lol. He said during warmups that he wasn't feeling great, so I heard. He went to do 600 and the stupid platform slid out with his feet. He came back and did a double, but they didn't touch his chest. Not sure if his shirt was too tight for that weight or what. He definitely looks like a big bencher though, just from his build alone.

I think he is from your neck of th ewoods bro. It may have been him. The crawford camp is in New York, so you mighta gotta glimpse of him. We'll see when he comes back.

How did you do IRBD? I wil check and see if yo gotts post up showing yoru lifts. But anyway glad to see you at it!!

That would be great if you can convince him to come over here and start posting. The more strong guys over here the better.

Maybe you can convince him to post his training routine.

It would also be nice if Mr. Kennelly would post his routine, as I'm sure many of us would like to see how he trains.

Pljay, keep recruiting!!!

Vince wasabi.....

I saw Vincent for the first time at the Iron Island Halloween meet in Long Island (NY), saw Bill Craw too but he wasnt lifting just coaching Vincent and giving him the handoff. I actually have pictures of it too but I do not know to load them here. I think Vincent hit a 645 and just missed a 675. They tried to jerk him too because he has short compact arms and the bench shirt came past his elbows so they tried to say he didn;t lock it, but he did. Anyways, you can tell this guy is going places, in fact I had the privilege of standing next to him and I must say the guy has no neck.........BIG DUDE.

Anybody has any ideas of how to post a picture here let me know and I'll post a pic of big Vincent.

Peace,
Mike

Natural Mike ,

Check with Deciever. And Vince says whats up to everyone and will be here once he regesters. BUt he thought he had to pay.

Cant wait my training for the WPO bench bash for cash starts end of August, and i got some questions for him.

Hello to all.

Firstly, I would like to thank all of you for the kind words you had for me. I especially want to thank PowerlifterJay for inviting me and putting up with my stupid ass while I tried to get on this site.

Following is some of the information you all asked for. My best bench in competition is 700lbs even. I did it at the Metal Militia bench wars back in April. I came in second behind Dan Kovacs. He hit 725. Man, it sucks hitting 700 for your first time and coming in second. Even worse was that my 700 was a world record for about 5 minutes before Dan took it. Mr. Kennelley took my other world record. I hit a 655 in the APA then Ryan crushed it with his 780. Talk about an ego breaker. I really hope to see him lift someday. Glen Chabot who is one of my training partners has long said Ryan is the real deal.

I am 5'8" tall on a good day and weigh around 285lbs. right now. I plan on coming in over 300 lbs. for my next meet in September. I was hoping that would be the Bench Bash, but I asked to get in personally and by email yet nobody has ever gotten back to me. So, at this point I believe I will be doing Jamie Harris' meet in PA.

I train Metal Militia style. That is, I bench raw once a week and use the shirt once a week. Since training with Bill Crawford my bench has gone up over 145lbs. in one year. I am a big believer in nutrition and supplementation although you would never believe it from seeing me. Another key to my training is recuperation. I rest a lot, do ice, get PT and deep tissue massage.

Lastly, I compete using a Karin Klein double denim. I am a huge fan of her equipment. If anyone plans on getting some equipment from her shoot me an email so I can help out in whatever way possible as she is a sponsor of mine. If you end up speaking with her please mention my name, it would really help me out.

Now that I have bored you all to tears, I look forward to sharing information with all of you as well as learning some new things.

WELCOME TO THE BOARD BRO. I THINK YOULL LIKE IT HEAR, WE ARE NORMALLY A FRIENDLY BUNCH OF PEOPLE. WE MAY NOT HAVE A LOT OF ADVICE TO GIVE YOU SEEING AS YOU PUSH MORE THAN ANY OF US BUT HEY WE WILL TRY.

I have a question for you VDizenzo now that I think of it. When you train your raw bench how do you go about it, I mean do you use periodization or what? And I am also curious as to how you train with the shirt once a week. Do you just do heavy triples or singles or what? I would appreciate the info if you dont mind telling us all. Thanks man and once again welcome.

Instinctive training

When training I always try to beat previous pr's. I keep different types of pr's. Basically I keep 1-5 rep pr's for off season and on season training. I do periodize by using mesocycles. For this meet I will use a four week mesocycle of reps for core movements. After that, I take a short break from the shirt. Then for the next mesocycle before the meet I will only be doing singles.

I keep journals of all my past training, but planning does not beat training and intensity. Before my 700 I missed a good number of gym lifts, but I was training at a fever pitch. Fortunately, I am a meet lifter. I have always done better in meets then I have done in training.

Lastly, be instinctive. If you hurt a lot skip the gym. If you are having a monster day, throw up some monster weights. Don't let your mind keep you from lifting heavy weights. The greatest thing Bill Crawford did for me was instill me with a great sense of confidence.

Welcome to the board! Awesome numbers.

I would be interested in hearing some of the supplements you take.On eating,do you have a certain food plan you follow?

Welcome aboard! I can see I for one will be able to learn a great deal from you!
