You need pictures on the wall. Maybe a couple of end tables for the sofas and maybe some lamps

Velvett is good at this kind of stuff

the rug is made in turkey.... leather and real cow skin/hair.... its cost a grip.. but i absolutely love it.. my last rug is a piece made from the skin/hair of 4 dead sheep... its one lovely piece!!!

i did it all myself..

Dam that is impressive most guys wouldn't have a clue on how to put a room that nice together.

im digging it. the only thing id change is the way the two couches come together. id slightly move the love seat back so that only the two corners are touching.

i go for comfort over style any day!

you can melt on these couches mate!
that is key... great pad.

JK about your ass room satch, looks better than mine. Now wear the crap out of that sofa for about 9 years, break the coffee table, scatter about 25 miller high life bottles around the room and a few burn marks in the floor and you got the "Wayne room".

I think what you need is some curtains with color since that whole corner is windows, that would add some color to the wall. Looks great though. Can you find me a red and blue rug?? :)

you MUST check out the grand bizarre in istanbul...
there literally 1000's of shops selling all kinds of shit for the house.
from ceramic plates to leather jackets.. and carpets.. you can find it all!

the turks are known for their carpets though.
i found this one shop sellling absolutely AMAZING carpets.. truly unique stuff!

i bought this one made from 4 dead sheep.. its INSANE!

really like it, even with the bare walls, i think the furniture and that rug make the room.

I would only corner out the sofa/loveseat. other than that, i like the simple white walls and window treatment. maybe add a bit more to the center of the coffee table, but look fantastic

a sheep rug.....that actually sounds pretty cool.....and cuddly.

by the way, behind that couch theres a window overlooking the city.. so its not just a white wall that i can place pics on if i remove the curtains..

basically, the whole living room is windows overlookin the city..
so not much room for pics.

ill snap some pics of the beach tomorow from my balcony though...

I agree with the above statements. Couches are too close together. You could use some end tables. Maybe one will do, or two... I, personally, would put the rug square with the table, but that's just me.

Centerpiece on the coffee table would be nice. If you really want to spliurge. Some recessed lights shining straight down... 2 rows of three would add an extra touch. Does'nt look too bright right now. it could be the oic though.

Overall, I like it though. Congrats.

1 - Pull all that furniture off the walls - furniture can float in a room it doesn't have to be slammed up against the walls and get some breathing room between the two loveseats.

2 - Nice job so far.

You need a punch of color, a rich orange red or a jewel tone ruby/plum color.
Some art work right of the windows on the wall.

You could also go in the other direct and find just the right shade of sterling blue which is a light yet rich silvery blue and add an accent of that color. Or paint the walls in Farrow & Ball's - Pale powder or skylight to give room more depth.

Or ditch the candle and get an Alchemy Glass bowl/platter to add that orange/red pop.
Here's a link to a sink - which is similiar to the bowl and platters but not a sink. http://alchemy-glass.com/bath/sinks/lava_cienega_gp.html

*LOVE* the layout - not sure how big the room is as far as the furniture filling it but it sounds like a beautiful place!

$50 says just out of view there's an entertainment center sittin on plywood and cinder blocks.

that's a nice livin satch...you need a pic of my cawk in that wall....

Nice room....I just picked out new dinning room furniture for my condo today.

Can't wait for it to be delivered....It's hot! :p

Are you allowed to paint there if you paint it back to white if you were ever to move???

I agree with Velv, you have all earthtones and not much for accent colors.

There's good balance with the furnishings but no main focal point. The rug catches the eye and is nice looking but the glass coffee table is somewhat of a barrier, even though it's clear glass.

Some colorful art work would be a good focal point.

Overall looks good, just needs a little fine tuning.

I know that style is the individual's choice, but that furniture is really ugly. The color reminds me of a freshly deposited shit.

The others are just being nice to you. It looks like a playroom in a house in New Jersey.
