New Linkin Park album

Rick Rubin produced, so you know its gonna be a hit.

Got it today, listened to it twice, starts off heavy, love it. Some slower songs, a little rap here, but all Linkin Park's unique style. Love it when they rock out. I hear some Korn in there, Papa Roach, Tool, KoRn, Metallica, even NoFX.

I can't wait for the new Metallica album this year, its also being produced by Rick Rubin. For those of you do not know, everything he touches turns platinum.. Red Hot Chili Peppers, Audioslave, Rage Against the Machine, Slayer, System of a Down, Johnny Cash, Dixie Chicks, Beastie Boys, LL Cool J, Danzig, U2, Neil Diamond, Shakira, Slipknot, Tom Petty, Run DMC, and more.

lolololol. Usually an album turning platinum means it isn't really that good. anything designed for mass consumption typically avoids being interesting/edgy/different/risky/unique. not my steez.

however, listened to Check Your Head a ton the past few weeks. that has to be one of the most original sounding album I have ever heard.

so your saying, if most people like it, then you dont??

do you really try THAT hard to always be different?

Sorry, was just sharing my perspective. I understand why you are being defensive and insecure and I am okay with that. I am sorry.

i strongly disagree with your perspective that all music that the general population likes is garbage, simply because it isnt extraordinary and "edgy" enough for your tastes...

and theres no insecurity or defensiveness, i was just high and wanted to hurt your feelings for laughs, which as can bee seen from your response, i probably did.

platinum means 1,000,000 people bought it, that's not that many compared to how many people live in the US, or the entire world.

I think any half decent album on a major label can sell that well and if it does it usually means the album is well liked.

I wonder how many accounts Fonz hacked from his lab at Sandia, using his Seal Team mainframe via the Department of Defense?

i like it but i find its the worst one yet

So what is the deal with that other guy who used to do all the rap parts?

I heard a while ago he split up and went to do his own shiz, did he come back for this album, because I thought he added a really good sound to the group.

I still like LP always will, is this one worth the purchase?

Nowdays.

I just downloaded it and listened to the first 3 songs, I havent been impressed yeIm a big LP fan but it seems so far that its a little weak. They seem to have gone away from the hip hop part of it that made them unique. Again this is based on the first 3 songs. Ill listen to the rest later, Im sure I wont be dissappointed.

sublime, killah bee's taste is better than us common folk.

Well after listening to it a few times it grew on me. Not as heavy as there past albums, and there is less rap, but its got some good tunes, especially that last song, fuggin awesome!

Does anyone think that the new hard song that they play on the radio has a blatant rip off of the guitar riff from Ministry's just one fix?
