Hi,

I just discovered this site. I really interested in getting into bodybuilding, and I need some advice. Please excuse my lack of knowledge on this subject.

I’m 5’11 188 lbs, and 23 years old right now, and I think my bodyfat is around average. I’ve always been one of those people who can naturally gain muscle fairly easily, but unfortunately I gain fat fairly easily too.

My goals right now are, in order, to: lose fat, look younger, and gain muscle.

Right now my workout consists of doing 3 sets of 10 reps on the bench press, 205 lbs, twice a week. My maximum lift was 305 lbs, once. Also I do 3 sets of 10 bicep curls twice a week, with 40 lbs in each hand. I also jog 2-4 miles per day.

I don’t really have a good diet plan. I’m a vegetarian, and my diet mostly consists of salads and sandwiches, with pizza and nachos on the weekend.

Right now I am not on any supplements, are there any that you would recommend for me? I was thinking about trying some of the HGH-enhancers at GNC. Do they really work well, or are they just junk? Also, if I take them, will my body stop naturally making HGH and IGF-1? Will they make you take a piss all the time? Also any ideas for a workout plan and diet plan?

Thanks,

Andy

Welcome Bro, For a diet plan just hang around here and make up your own and then put it up and well critique it for you. Also the same for training, Have a look at the training board for ideas and try them out.

Hey,

For the amount of calories you need I suggest checking out pintoca's cutting calculator on this board. Once you have your calories sorted out, do some research then post a diet and we will critique it.

BTW, when you say you are a vegetarian, do you eat dairy and eggs, or no animal products whatsoever. I don't believe there is any BBer who eats no animal sources (complete protein sources), however Bill Pearl is a famous BBer who ate eggs and dairy but not meat.
