New bodybuilding product the pros are using called Plasma Expand?

this might be the same thing that the guys at golds call "Pump and Pose"....one of the pros down there...actually i think it was gunter...told me about that shit...it is really dangerous...and like needto said...if you get it in a blood vessel it can be deadly

Pump N Pose, if that is what they called it, is Synthol. It is site injected with theory that you will form new vascular tissue when the muscle is expanded from the Caprillic Acid and Silica. Supposed to last a while but did not seem like it to me from the people I knew that tried it. Maybe they did not use enough of it for a long enough period of time.

Always wierded me out thinking you were injecting silica into your body.

I can assure you that a shot of albumin will do absolutely nothing for "Permanent" muscle growth. Albumin is nothing more than a plasma protein. It functions in the human body to maintain osmotic pressure (colloid oncotic pressure), to transport hormones, i.e., T3 & T4, fatty acids, unconjugated bilirubin, and certain drugs. It is also binds and transports androgens, such as testosterone. You've heard of "free" vs. "bound" testosterone? Albumin is the binding protein.

Albumin is the most abundant plasma protein, but due to its size and negative charge you will find none in the urine of a healthy person (like all proteins). However, in renal failure albumin is lost in the urine due to the destruction of the glomerular basement membrane in the kidney’s nephrons. For this reason, Albumin solutions are administered IV, for replacement.

Now the questions: Is albumin the solution given precontest? I have no personal knowledge; however, it would be quite reasonable for albumin & possibly glucose type solutions would be given for the purposes mentioned by previous posters, with the obvious exception of "Permanent" muscle growth. The only way this would be considered permanent is if a person was to administer the protein solution daily along with training, eating, AAS, ect....

As far as synthol is concerned in relationship to permanent muscle growth, I will simply refer to Greg Valentino.

Escilene, aka Caverjet, aka Alprodasil, (active ingredient PGF-2) was prescribed for erectile dysfunction before Viagra (personally, I prefer cialis) arrived on the market. It’s indication was (is) for the treatment of erectile dysfunction from both Neurologic &/or psychologic etiologies. Just before sexual intercourse, it could be injected into the penis, for the purpose of obtaining an erection.

Don’t ask me how in the hell one could handle the injection, into the penis, other than maybe the lidocaine, but I would assume the analgesic effect of lidocaine would serve to block pleasure as well as pain. PGF-2 by itself is extremely painful. Within seconds after the injection, one could expect extreme inflammatory pain in the site of the injection, intense stomach cramps, which depending what was in your large bowel at the time, could lead to explosive diarrhea, and wheezing to the point of some calling 911, only to be completely normal by the time paramedics arrived, at which time most would readily explain, it was not them who called.

Why does this happen? PGF-2 is an endogenous prostaglandin, which has many functions, if you don’t know them, you probably shouldn’t be using the drug. But, just to name a few: it is a potent vasodilator, which causes the inflammatory type response and the swelling of the muscle; it is a bronchoconstrictor, hence the wheezing; and in pregnancy it causes contractions, hence the explosive runs if there is no baby to push out.

Referring back to synthol as well as Escilene, I believe the consensus in reference to “permanent” growth is simply related the ability of both drugs to stretch the muscle fibers, so that with training the muscles would grow more easily. The stretch in escilene’s case is due to the inflammatory process and in synthol’s case, due to the fact that when oil is squirted in a muscle it has to have room.

With that being said, I think it is quite obvious that there is no such thing as “permanent” muscle growth, with the exception of silicon implants, but even they will eventually deteriorate.

One last thing; in reference to “The Drug” or “The Supplement” that all of “The Top Pros” have been using for “The Last Two or Three Years” and that “Nobody Else Knows About”….. Those “Drugs” have shown up every year since the beginning of bodybuilding as a sport and they are the same drugs that everyone is not only aware of, but also using. The stories of these “Drugs” serve one purpose and one purpose only, to justify the fact that the person telling the stories of these mystery drugs is NOT one of the “Top Pros”, who are secretly using the “Drugs”.

Disclaimer to the last statement. Yes, I realize that there are many different contest preparations, used to deplete the body of water, replenish muscle of glycogen, inflame specific muscles, etc…, however, I think all of the “Top Pros” would agree, these drugs do more to hurt long term muscle quality than they do to enhance it. And, most if not all should be complete avoided unless the person is preparing for a show, and hopefully has an extremely knowledgeable consultant by his/her side.

its funny that this thread popped up....i was at the gym this morning and a kid that trains there regularly was wearing a plasma expand logoed tank top. he juices it up but didn't look like he was actually using this stuff,,,no odd swoleness or anything

From what I hear it is about 4-5 years old. Guys use it the day of comp just before showtime. It gives them a quick pump/swollen muscle. I hear that are not real gains, they go away in 2-3 days. I have not used myself but this is what 2 guys I know that have used say. I will ask them for some pics this weekend.

Is this like giving blood and then storing in your freezer and injecting it IV before a show?

i have heard of this before, a couple of years back...but not sure if this is the same thing.

This is pretty much what I came up with more research.

Jay Cutler must not use it then.

Have you been hiding on another board the last two years or what??
