Well, I am getting pretty strong in the squat and deadlifting areas and i was wondering if i should incorporate a belt? max squat is 405 and dead is 455. I have never used a belt in my life and i getting to the point that i am worried that all that weight might be too much pressure on my spine and discs. i am the only one in my gym that doesnt use a belt on heavy lifts and i get crap for it. i persoanlly think it is good that i dont use a belt for the fact that my back is getting very strong.
should i start wearing a belt on my very heavy lifts (80%+of my max)?
