Nelson, you are my inspiration!

I seriously printed out this picture and taped it on my fridge and in my pantry. Sorry Nelson, but this picture really does make me want to eat.

Thanks for the inpiration! :D

(to be fair this is a "before" picture of Nelson Montana, now I don't feel so mean.)

Ok, for you non-plats . . . enjoy!

ok, I've been here for a while, but probably still a newbie, so please excuse this question: But seriously, is that nelson? and if before, I will pay to see an after pic.

Okay, fess up. Who else had a mullet in 1990?

The funny thing regarding cardio wasn't that it held back gains, but being so naturally thin, I assumed it would get me ripped. But it never did. It just flattened me out. When I stopped putting my clients through cardio and upped the training intensity, everyone lost more fat.

BTW, That second pic in the hat is pre gear. The competition photo on my site was after a few dabbles. And a haircut.

Not to mention...

It takes a big man to expose himself in his underwear to the world with 11" arms. :)

Nelson-
How much time was there from the before picture to that second one?Very impressive.

Thanks bro. In the first photo I believe I was around 39. And I've been working out all my life. (Can anyone say bad genetics?)

In the second shot, I'm 42 years old. Drug free.

So how many pounds did you pack in three years?

I went from 150 to 175. Same bf%

After two of years of short cycles, I was up to just over 210.

But I actually feel and look better at 185-190, which is where I am today at age 49. No more cycling, just 100 mgs a week of HRT.

wouldn't it be just as effective to use a low dose of test for the rest of your life as opposed to HRT? I think that's what Ulter s doing.

That's what HRT is.

nelson, could you explain why you are on HRT?

Well, since I've always done conservative dosages I won't blame the fact that I used gear, HOWEVER, if I had to do it all over again I would never have touched Deca. We didn't now. Everyone said it was "safe." Nasty, nasty stuff. But I took m chances and I'll deal with the consequences. I just wish more people would heed that advice.

At any rate, at age 47, I started feeling like I was losing a step. I had my T checked at it was in the low 300's --not horrible, but I figured it was time. I started with the standard 200 mgs a week and even added a little Primo now and then thinking 'why not' I'm on HRT! But any time you mess with your hormones, there's a price to pay. I finally settled on 100 mgs every 5-7 days (depending on how I feel) and it's much much better.

There's also a history of heart disease on my fathers side of the family and a healthy T level is good protection against heart attack. But if T is TOO high, it's worse. It's a delicate balance.

is this a theory of your nelson, or do you have scientific evidence to support the claim? Im very curious since I have done deca in the past.

Because Deca is so damn suppressive! Theory?!?! Come on. Everyone knows this. Plus, Deca kills sperm cells at a rate that's like 10 times higher than test. (Don't have the studies in from of me, you'll have to search). It bloats. It raises prog. It causes impotence. I'd say that makes it harsher on the reproductive system than drugs without those side effects, wouldn't you say?

I agree, but I have not seen studies to back this up. Im not trying to prove you wrong in anyway, its just got me thinking. I only ran deca once and only at 400mg/wk and it was years ago. Im wondering if it causes them harsh side effects at higher doses or when ran by itself.

Nelson ive sent you karma 6 0r 7 times in the last few months and you never reciprocate the feeling. I even bought your book.

Well I wouldn't worry about it. You're on HRT anyway right? But do wish people would heed the warnings of Deca and Fina, but you know how it is. Human nature. People want instant gratification and deny the consequences. There's been so many lies about the dangers steroids that people sometimes think all the dangers are exagerated and that's not so.

Nelson-
After working out all your life what did you change to get such good results in that 3yr period?Diet?training?or combination of both?

Im also on HRT ,started this year at age 45.I had my test levels checked because I wasnt making any gains and they came back low 300's.I figure it is just my age ,never did any gear.
I'd like to add a little xtra to my HRT what would you recommend?
A normal cycle with an increase in my test cyp. or one of your shorter cycles?

Of course, a short anabolic cycle is the way to go.

I changed everything bro. Instead of following the experts, I began questioning them. Through trail and error I realized what worked and what didn't. I figured out that diets were just something to fill pages in magazines and all the manipuations were a chance for people to show off how much they knew. But it was all baloney. I figured out what supps worked and used them religiously and dumped all the crap. (Which is 95% of the stuff out there) I also incorporated a lot of the techniques that the old timers used and that's when the gains really started coming.
