I want to make it clear that I am not for Proviron during PCT. However, I feel every cycle should include Proviron fro a few reasons. 1. It binds to SHBG. Therefore, more of your total T ends up as free T. 2. It can and does help with libido issues while on nandrolone and other gear that causes progestin related issues. I have only heard of 1 or two bros (LiftHard being one) that have not reported any benefit to libido while on cycle. Truthfully, LiftHard runs high doseages in his cycles and I believe he may need more than the standard 50mg ed dose to see benefits.
I also believe that Proviron has an affinity for the aromatase enzyme. Therefore most cycles including Proviron typically require fewer, or at least a lower dose of whatever AI is being used. Personally, I have ran 750mg Test E with no AI when using Proviron at 50mg ed and did not have any estrogen related sides. I also personally found that Proviron led to less water retention because of its ability to limit conversion to estrogen. It has also been suggested that Proviron actually downgrades the estrogen receptor.
Also, when used in "normal" doses, (less than 150mg ed) it does not reduce normal to low FSH and LH levels. Most repeated steroid users will have low to normal levels. In fact, one study (although its an older one) done in 1984 actually showed that Proviron raised LH levels in men that had low LH levels. With that being said, one could certainly make an argument for using Proviron in PCT.
All that being said, I personally advocate Proviron being used in all cycles at a dose of 50mg for mild to medium cycles and 100mg ed for heavy steroid use. I would be interested in seeing blood work number before, during, and post cycle from the same person comparing using proviron @ 50mg ed throughout a 12 week cycle of Testosterone @ 750mg weekly including through PCT, and someone only using Proviron during the cycle. I do not believe the person taking mesterlone during PCT will take any longer to recover to pre-cycle levels of FSH and LH than the person who did not use it.
Perhaps over the next year, I will be that test subject. If I make that decision, I will certainly provide you with a writeup and copies of the lab work so that you can copy and paste it around the boards, Needto.
You did a nice copy and paste with a small writeup, but it lacked personal, real world experience.
