Need To Gain Mass

Bros, currently I weigh 130 lbs and I am 5'11. I just started working out about three weeks ago. I have a friend who is pretty knowledgable about lifting and he helps me train. When I first started out I weighed 122 and keep in mind that I am decently tall. Currently, my friend has me work out about 3 times a week. He has me train legs and upper body evenly. I try to do higher weight at lower reps with a decent interval of rest. I am making gains in strength and he has me eat constantly and I get lots of protein. But, I am having trouble putting on mass. Any suggestions about new training methods and what things to eat and how often would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

It's only been three weeks man, be patient. You've put on some weight in that time so whatever you're doing is working. Don't fuck with it. Your main concerns now should be:

1. Keep focused on training and don't quit.
2. EAT!! At your current weight, think quantity over quality. Get some meat on you first, then we'll worry about real dieting.
3. Listen to your friend! Dont try to figure out the "perfect workout" right now. Get in the gym with your bud and lift.

You will learn as you go, but you have to keep at it. Good luck man. :)

Thanks Mutant.
My friend has me eating as much as possible and make really high calorie shakes with all kinds of ultra high caloric foods. Any suggestions as to what to use in the shake, sometimes I use peanut butter, chocolate, etc. and also I sometimes use weightgainer powder but that tends to gross me out. I usually put a scoop of protein powder in my shakes. I take a generic brand of creatine 10mg/day (I'm in the "loading" phase). Should I be taking cell tech because a lot of people at my school take it and swear by it. Are there any other supplements that I should look into for gaining mass/strength/size?

You don't need the weightgainer if you don't want it. Stick with real food. Supplement with protein powder as you like, but no more than one protein shake a day. And yeah, cel tech creatine is fine. I'd stay between 5-10 gr per day. As for other supps, I'd say all you need now would be a daily multivitamin. Other than that, stick to real food.

cell tech is good, but will drain you of all money you have ... in my opinion, you dont need all those supps. just eat huge, sleep well, and lift hard.
