I am slightly discouraged today! My weight is always the same or goes up a lb. My pants aren't looser and i'm not sure what to do.

I do eat out alot, I know that...sometimes my choices aren't too great. But they are improving. My portions are smaller and i'm exercising regularly.
I haven't been doing cardio everyday, in fact i haven't done much lately because i've been waking up late and so verrry tired and sorta sore.

Any ideas for working out or Diet would be much appreciated! ;) I feel like I need to make a change but not sure what.

a bummed-out getnfit06 :(

Well, after your dinner last night I can see why you may be feeling this way. You also said you were crampy & bloaty... maybe you're over emotional, not to forget feeling the 'physical' effects of the monthly visitor (where it's here or not).

Hang in there :rose:

1) I really like the Pom-Pom smilie in your avi!! Cute!!

2) Have you been using www.fitday.com?? What is it telling your your average calories eaten per day are?? What is your current weight?? Are you trying to lose bf??

You don't always see the effects immediately. I have read this often (and experience it myself) that it can be 3-4 weeks into a program that you see any result at all. And that's if you eat clean and work out consistently (not much cheating). Your body likes the status quo and is reticent to change, it will hold on to fat for as long as it can.

Measure your portions (eyeballing can be so dangerous!), log into fitday, reduce eating out (it sucks, I know) and maybe throw in a few early AM HIIT cardio sessions (if you can) to jumpstart the fat loss.

I struggle too - especially with consistency. Keep it up, though, it will happen. Don't give in!

Good Luck :rose:

My weight has been ranging at 107.5. Sometimes it goes up a lb or 2.
WHich is pretty much where it was when i started. Yes, Jens I am trying to lose a LOT of bodyfat, hence my yucky beginning pics i posted. I want to slim down all over and especially tummy, thighs, arms. I want to Look Muscular. That may be a stretch for me as I've never looked muscular in my life, but i'm not gonna let that stop me! I want to be strong and look strong and fit.
Yes I use fit day. My calories are usually 1000-1300. I usually post them on my log. Sometimes I can't really figure somethings in though.
I have bought a scale and weigh my meats and sweet potatoes.

How long have you been working out and tweaking your diet? Each person is different so just keep trucking along. Now with that said I would up my cardio some and tweak tweak tweak my diet. YOu know that the most important part of this whole thing is diet then excercise. Soooo focus on getting that diet tight. :)

I took a peak at your log 1st thing I noticed. Are you lifting as heavy as you can? IMO you should be lowering you rep range and lifting heavier weights. 2nd point which is more important is your diet. You are the one making the choices. It is all up to you what you put in your mouth. You feel like Alfredo sauce you’re not going to see results that you want. If your not competing nothing wrong with having a cheat meal once a week so you don’t go crazy but only make it once a week.

superqt4u2nv,
I don't have a lot of different equipment here at home so... But as far as like arms, shoulders, nope i don't believe I could go heavier and have proper form, etc. With the squats and deadlifts, they are not easy for me so, I don't think i can step that weight up either. I'm just starting out and pretty puny in the muscle dept.

Moms,
I started in Feb. I guess It's just too much eating out probably. I really am trying though.

Yes you are and kuddos for that. You have not been in this for very long and learning as you go. Just do some work on your diet. Know it's not going to happen overnight it takes time. Remember Rome wasn't built in a day. Hard work, and determination will get here to your goal.

Starting out in February isn't that long ago really, only been a month and a bit. I 'started' trying to lower my bodyfat and lose some weight in the summer of last year, but I probably didn't get it all going properly till a few months back. It took me quite a while to get into it, to work out what was good for me, what I could handle and what I couldn't etc - there was quite a bit of trial and error involved.

Saying that though, eating out a lot (depends what your definition of a lot is here as I don't know how much you're talking) can sabotage your plans quite a bit. It doesn't have to I know, as it is possible to eat out and still eat well, but it's hard to know when it's not you cooking the food. Maybe try and limit the eating out a bit, I know I enjoy it more because I don't do it so often now! I think at one point whilst my boyfriend and I were in uni, we probably ate out or got a takeaway about 4/5 times a week. I know there were times when we ate at least one meal a day out, sometimes even two! Now that's bad!

Keep your chin up and smile, staying positive will take you a long way too :)
