so for those of you that hang out in C&C in here, you know that my husband was in a motorcycle as cpl of months ago and wound up with a ruptured testicle..

well he had surgery on it a little over a week ago now to remove a section of it and repair the rest of the rupture.

thats doing good and healing very well..BUT the Dr told him no running or weight lifting that involves any kind of "groin engagement" for a YEAR

so...give me some ideas..like Im thinking leg presses instead of squats etc..

what else have you got?

hes not a BIG bodybuilder physique and thats never been his goals..
hes not worried about bf...he hasnt run in almost three months since the accident and actually trimmed up a lil in the meantime by keeping his diet clean...
so, I think just walking and staying busy will be good for cardio for now (gonna have to be right?)

but to keep and build muscle...I uhh, dont have any idea because I dont have the same wedding tackle :)

discuss bros

:sick:WOW! that totally sux!
Am surprized that he can be lifting at all to be truthful.
hmmmmm.......
Well if he can do legpress how about
Good morning
Bent over rows
Pull ups
Bench
SLDL
OHP
Seeing that he not a BB that should keep him shape pretty much.
Good luck to him and you:D

thank you muchly sir...passed along to him to give a shot and see how he does

not encouraged that he felt pushups in his boys tho..... so, we'll see I guess

Hammer Strength equipment is relatively safe and the range of motion closely mimics free weight. He prolly needs to stick to machines.
Tell him to lower the weight, up the reps and use super slow strict form. Steer clear of abs or any movement that involves bending over.
He can keep his core strong - firm by tensing his abs and holding it for a few seconds. It's isometric stuff and it works.
Anywho, good luck and tell him that layinback said he's had worse on his eye, so hurry up and get over it.:)

lol, will do

Im really pretty shocked the dr said a year

I think thats wayyyyy overly cautious
he was moving granite stones today and managed to not hurt his ballz, so maybe he wont be super laid up...

his leg still isnt up to par for running tho

Very welcome sis, hope that best for both of you!

Good luck. I hope he has a speedy recovery.

He should stay away from squats and deadlifts

:xeye:Yeah good advice traz. I missed that totally. Am still surprized that the DR said he could do any kind of strenous activity.

truthfully the doc wasn't pleased he wanted to do anything at all

but he can't not do anything, he'll go insane...its all stress relief for him
Im seriously considering buying him an elliptical so I dont have to kill him

if all he has to stay away from is groin bending stuff then only stuff that has to change is leg and ab training by the sounds of it... sounds like he will have to stick with leg extensions and leg curls for a now maybe after a while implement some walking lunges with bodyweight at the end of the workout kind of like a finisher.

I dont know how bad the ab wheel would be for core work since there is no groin bending?
