Hi everyone!
My name is Tyler and I'm new to the forums. I read around because I am looking to lose body fat. I found lots of helpful information but I decided to make my own post to see if anyone had any more advice for my certain body type. I was overweight my entire life, but I started working out about 2 1/2 years ago, when I turned 16. Before I started working out I was 300 lbs of pretty much pure fat. Right now I'm around 230 but I've still got some work to do. I am 6'1" and genetically I have a big frame, so I'm not wishing to look like some Calvin Klien model.
I love surfing but even after losing all that weight I am still a little self-conscious about wearing a wetsuit because of the "love handles" I have around my waist-god I hate those! I am looking to lose those and build nice abs...But as I understand from reading the forums you need to do one and then the other. I've attached pictures so you can see what I'm talkin' about
So, basically, my target is to be 6'1 and around 200 lbs of muscle. Right now I don't know what my BF% is because I don't know how to calculate it, but I am 6'1 230lbs. I can work out in the early mornings (5 to 7 AM) and in the evening after lunch (2 to 6 pm)...Does anyone have any tips on when/how much to work out, what to do, and just in general how to lose the damn extra fat, especially around my hips?
