Need Help... Crushed Disc's

So... I used to be really physically fit.. A couple years ago I weighed about 135 lbs 5'11".

Within no time I jumped up to 175 lbs of muscle. Had a great workout plan going and all with know issues. Started to Plateau so I switched it up. At the time I seemed to eat whatever I want but also had lots of protein...

Well here's the fun part I crushed two disc's in my back and had to have fusions shortly after... Finally after a year and surgery I got the ok to start working out again. But I know weigh 215 Ibs and a lot of it seems to be body fat. It seems that all those months of laying in bed played a big part in. haha

I eventually would like to use some gear to bulk up but I feel that maybe I should lose my fat first. Then gain my muscle back to where I was then access the situation.

Does anyone have any advice. I know that I need to do some cardio but I also know the Diet is the main part. Can someone maybe point me in the right direction of what kind of diet intake I should be on.

Never mind Everything I have said. What a horrible post i should have know better.. Im not gonna worry about the intake numbers and crap.. Im just gonna eat my veggies, fleshy meats, low calories, protein, and hit the gym 6 days a week for cardio. Basically just cut out all the junk food..

One thing though. Any one have suggestion to alcohol. I only drink on the weekends but should I cut out the beer and stick to only hard Alc.

well someone said in another tread that 1gr of alcohol = 9cals. so i would not drink if you want to speed up the loss of body fat, and yes definitely loose the fat and gain your muscle back before using gear you need a good foundation to use gear, the good news is the muscle has memory so it wont take you as long to get back your lost muscle. CHEERS

Wow reading that was like reading what I wrote 2 years ago, except it was one vertebrae, not two. It sounds like you know what to do already, but above all make sure you keep your core as strong and fexible ss possible, otherwise your back will start to lock up when you start throwing the heavy weights around again. Also, limit heavy impact exercises, so use a back support with shoulder press, walk on a treadmill with incline rather then jog, etc, but only until you get real lean and reverse the atrophy in your core. After that it's all downhill.

Thanks guys... Thankfully after the surgeries and laying around for 7 months I feel a million times better. Other then i weigh more and lost some muscle. I'm gonna shed the fat which really isnt that much. I think loosing the excess weight can only do better for me. Lifting to bulk will be a different story and I will make sure I'm very careful I don't damage anything. I think me having a decent amount of muscle then loosing it played a big part in me damaging my back.
