They take the hair from the armpit. Most places will only test the past six months. i would think this is mainly for recreation drugs but i am not 100% sure. if you use recreation drugs and you have to take this test, start looking for another job.

If it's a standard drug test, you're in the clear, Jake.
Don't stress.
It costs them alot more to test for AAS, it's a completely different test that takes longer.

Let me see if I can hepl you out here. Standard drug tests typically test for the "Big 3." THC, cocaine metabolites and meth metabolites. Doing a complete workup for any controlled substance known to man is an expensive proposition. Even police departments do not usually test for anything other than THC and cocaine metabolites unless they have a suspicion to do otherwise, as the cost for a more extensive analysis is a prohibitive factor.
MY advice to you is to look at the fine print in the disclosure form and see if it lists what substances are being tested for.

You should also consider your reputation in the industry should you fail. Granted, I'm sure it's supposed to be confidential but some industries are almost incestuously small and you're bound to bump into the same people or others who know those people again someday in the future.
The shampoo may work or it may not. Pot is the fricking worst because it's fat soluable and can sit in the system for a while so it's definitely going to show up in your hair and more than just a drab here and there (logical assumption given that as long as it's in your system and you're hair is growing the hair produced over the time window will show it).
An alternative is to approach your current company and use the offer as leverage, tell them you really want to stay but would like to discuss the posibility of advancement or more compensation. You can then go back to your other company and tell them that your managers sat you down and discussed the opportunities and pay available to you if you stayed. Let them know that it was a long and hard deliberation but that you wanted to give them a chance and see what happened (or something to that effect). That leaves the door open and let them know that if things don't work out or you are looking to move in the future they will be the first company you call. Of course now you may have a better job or it will buy you the time to stay clean if you want to get a position with that company in the future. Best of all, you make the best use of a tough situation, might better your current position, make yourself look more valuable and loyal to your current company and the other, and preserve your reputation. Obviously this may or may not work as planned but I don't see anything better from the limited amount of info.
In the end, you are a professional in an industry. You need to evaluate what kind of career damage a failed drug test can do to you over the long-term.

I know you can pass the piss test by drinking a gallon of water within an hour or so and getting your self to piss every 5 minutes I did that before when I went to get a job with the cable company and passed.My friend that told me about it passed a bunch of times like that too.

spoken like a pro. its ungodly amounts of money to test for aas. and for high test levels even more. thats why the nfl never checked for high test levels, they are greedy, now they are going to have to as the rule has changed. u can bet they are paying a bundle for it. besides hair folicle tests are usually only for drugs cause they can pick up say marijuana in the test whereas urine would no longer have it. hair tests can be done way after your urine is clear thats why they do itDIVISION said:

I have a friend who is a pass-your-drug-test guru. His shit has worked for a lot of folks. He swears by Accutane for a hair test (yes, the zit med). I'm not sure how its supposed to work...but he claims that if you start taking it 10 days before a test it "masks" THC at the follicle. Its got a lot of potential sides...but it might be worth a try...

There really is no help outside of telling him not to take the test and employing a strategy like I suggested. They have hair tests because basic urinalysis is easy to beat. Even if a shampoo is 80% effective, do you want to risk bombing a drug test and deal with bumping into and possibly working with people who know years down the road (happens a lot in some industries). I wouldn't.

Neither is giving him false hope! I mean I hope the guy finds a way to pass it, but the odds aren't very good. Or should I instead say hey don't worry buddy, you'll pass no problem? Then have him more let down after he fails?
