*Grizzlies look to bounce back against Spurs*
---------------------------------------------
San Antonio (41-12) at Memphis (30-24) 8:00 pm EST
MEMPHIS, Tennessee (Ticker) -- The Memphis Grizzlies will be
hard-pressed to rebound from a tough loss when they host the
San Antonio Spurs on Friday.
The Grizzlies blew a 19-point lead Thursday as they dropped a
97-87 contest against another Southwest Division foe, the Dallas
Mavericks, who own the best record (43-11) in the Western
Conference.
All-Star Pau Gasol and Bobby Jackson scored 18 points apiece for
Memphis, which shot 61 percent (28-of-38) in the first half but
was just 11-of-40 (27 percent) from the floor after the break.
The Grizzlies, who will be playing their third game in four days
Friday, must shift their focus to the defending champion Spurs,
who have the second-best mark in the conference.
San Antonio returned from the All-Star break with a 103-78 home
drubbing of Seattle on Thursday. All-Star Tony Parker shot
13-of-18 from the floor en route to a 30-point effort.
Tim Duncan collected 13 points and 16 rebounds for the Spurs,
who ended a two-game slide in Tuesday's win.
San Antonio halted a four-game regular-season losing streak in
Memphis with a 93-83 victory here January 16.
