natural sugar?

hmm here's one thing to think about

those foods are very low in sugar, so even though they may have a high G.I. (glycemic index) (if they even do, I don't know) they'd probably have a pretty low G.L. (glycemic load).

The glycemic load takes into account the quantity of carb in a food. So while carrots have an even higher glycemic index than jelly beans (!), they have a much lower glycemic load because there just isn't as much sugar in a serving of carrots as there is in a serving of jelly beans.

make sure you eat any carbs with protein and some healthy fats to slow digestion further and the low natural sugar content in those foods should not be a problem for you unless you are doing a diet which requires you to be in ketosis

I don't think those are high in GI, i'm talking about calories from sugar, if you go to the nutrition data you will find that most of their calories are from sugar.

perhaps the ratio of nutrients is mostly from carbohydrates but typically with vegetables total sugar content is quite low, especially the ones you mentioned.

personally i dont even take into account the carbs i get from veggies........i just eat as much of them as i can

i get some natural sugar from the 1 and 1/2 bananas i eat per day (in shakes) mixed with oats, anpb, skim, and whey.

hopefully the pb slows down the digestion rate (at least thats what im counting on)
