My Wife (Ladies Help)

Sartan

High End Bro
Platinum
I am a gym rat so its tough seeing my wife nonmotivated when it comes to fitness.

In the last few months she has been training in aerobics classes(body pump) and running 15 to 20 miles a week. I an very happy and wish to keep her motivated.
She is 5' 3'' 140 and had lost only 4 or 5 lbs scalewise but has put on some muscle so actually lost more fat.
I have convinced her that weight training isn't gonna make her manly but since I am her husband I don,t much about anything(despite the fact I am inshape and a trainer).

So what I would appreciate is some advice/training regiments from some of you hot elite girls that are muscular but not manly to show her what staying motivated can do.

She gets frustrated cuz her visual results have been so slow and Im scared she is gonna quit. So please help

Also some pics would be nice ( I like em nude but she would probally appreciate the muscle tone more is they wern't :p )

Thanks Ladies,

For years my husband told me to "Stop playing with those little baby weights". The harder I tried to "tone up" with light weights, more and more cardio, and less and less food, the fatter I seemed to get (being over 35 wasn't helping much either).

Finally I decided to give his advice a try. I figured if I became a big muscular amazon :eek2:, at least I could eat more, PLUS I'd be able to woop his ass for suggesting I lift those big weights in the first place. :D

I gained about 10 pounds, but to my pleasant surprise, I dropped 2 pant sizes. This alone would've been worth it, but I also went up a size on top. My new broader shoulders made my waist and hips look smaller. I never thought I'd see the day where I actually thought my butt was too small!

As to whether I'm "muscular and manly", I don't think so, but some of the cardio bunnies at my gym probably do - certain ones always move to another part of the gym if I'm around (and I DO wear deodorant). Anyone in BB or fitness though would say I have quite aways to go before anyone could describe me as muscular - I'm really not that muscular, just lean.

You can see my Before & After pictures by clicking on the "Gallery" button (with the little camera) at the bottom of my post.

The way some people go on you would think that any improvement in exercise or diet is completely worthless if you don't LOOK a certain way.

If I felt that way I couldn't do anything.

It's not ALL about looks, people. How about living longer without diabetes, cancer, heart disease?

If I am my grandmother's age and able to get up and around and cook and take care of myself, instead of being humped over and crippled as she is, that will mean far more to me then than whether I look like a muscle magazine cover or not.

I used to be your wife's size. When I got fed up with exercise because I was spending hours and hours and hours every week on it and I still didn't LOOK the way I thought I should (read: the way other people told me I should), I got fed up and quit. Now I'm FAT. I don't mean size 8, "Oh, my stomach puffs out a little," fat, I mean Lane Bryant fat.

Run that one by your wife for me, please.

well troll,
If you r fat then you dont fit the criteria I asked for now do ya??!!??

I love my wife very much. but, If it ever got to the point that I was ashamed to go out in public with her then plain and simply put I'd leave her!!!

I'm not talkin about cancer or something I mean if she just got real fuckin lazy(and dont give me any of that thiroid shit either every fat person out there thinks they have a theriod problem. or i cant work out I have bad knees... well guess what if you hadn't been 350 for the last 10 years you wouldn't have knee problems)

Sorry to be so hostile its just I am here to help my wife and myself look the way WE want to look and I dont appreciate some one with a self esteem problem flaming me.

So please all you elite hotties keep postin and the rest of you go flame someone else or eat a twinky or what ever you people do in your spare time

Sincerely,
Sartan

Sartan -- check all the stickies at the top of the women's board --- print them out if you have to and show them to your wife. (Ok maybe the AS ones don't apply) There are plenty of sometimes counter-intuitive, but very well-spelled out reasons why women should weight train and train like they mean it. Consider this --- evolutionarily speaking, women have always done the heavy work right? Working the fields, dragging the babies around, etc. while the men were the "warriors" -- not to mention in even more modern times, women always did all the heavy washing, cleaning, etc. Do you see women evolving to be more "mannish" than men who one might've thought would be built small and lean so they could move quickly or cover long distances in pursuit of prey? Or from sitting around at a desk all day while their wives did all the work at home??? It didnt' happen. Why? Testosterone. So your wife ain't gonna get "big". Tell her to lift away!
