my questions on: Weightloss and muscle gain

endpoint

New member
Went for a walk to clear my mind today and i had a thought.
See im trying to loss fat and gain muscle.
The plan i had was to pack on as much muscle as possible....and then in 4 weeks time try and lose as much fat as possible.

The problem i see is that to lose weight you have to be calorie deficent and to gain muscle you have to be in excess of calories.

But how about this:??????
Lose the fat in the process of cardio first thing in the morning...on an empty stomach....burning nothing but fat.

Then for the rest of the day eat so that you gain muscle.

do you get what i mean??????????

The cardio will have to be enough so that the amount of fat you burn will be more than you put on during the day.

Can anyone set me straight?????
I think im living in a disney land world where nothing is real.

Give me your ideas. Why it will or wont work.

*** To lose WEIGHT you would want to expend more energy then you take in. To lose BF is a art of manipulation. Not as simply as you're thinking.

*** I would suggest using food to manipulate your body into losing fat. When it comes to fat loss and muscle gain usally it is very difficulta nd time consuming to do both steps at the same time unless you're using drugs or are a begginer.

Then for the rest of the day eat so that you gain muscle.

*** How much you eat to gain muscle and not BF?
It's not something that is set in stone.

The cardio will have to be enough so that the amount of fat you burn will be more than you put on during the day.

*** Like I said I would suggest aiming at losing a certain amount of BF through your diet for a period of time countered by a time of agressive eating.
You can easily lose up to 10 pounds of BF in a month with the right "diet"

You'll find that gains take much longer when you try to lose weight and gain muscle all at once. Try to bulk up first so that when you diet down you'll still be bigger than you were. Keep in mind that you will lose muscle:bawling: but not too much if you eat right (enough protein and frequently throughout the day).

When you are on a cutting phase, set a goal and try to reach it. Don't just do it for 4 weeks, because everybody's bodies react differently.

Sometimes it's hard to motivate yourself to cut or bulk but keep in mind that you're doing this with an intelligent plan.

I think the reducing BF% while putting on muscle mass can be done, but it won't happen quickly. This is very possible especially if your diet has been low in protein. If you up your protein intake to 2 or 2.5g/lb of body weight and cut out the excess carbs and fats etc.... you can put on muscle while losing bf.

At least I've been able to do it. Up 8lbs, down 5%bf in 3 months. The gains don't come fast but you look a lot better doing it!!

2-2.5 g/lb of bodyweight???

christ almighty, thats some expensive energy. carbohydrates would be a cheaper and easier source for your body to just use as energy.

waay too much protein. your maintenance and repair levels are being more than met as well as it spilling over and being used as an energy source.

whatever works for you, but it seems a waste to eat all that excess protein for it to be used for energy. you could get away with less protein, more carbs, faster digestion, quicker metabolism (less load due to lower protein) if you would replace that excess protein with carbs/fats.

to each, his own.

It could be done ... losing fat and gaining muscles at the same time ... but it will take a lot of balancing act ... I've done it ... I lost 30 lbs. of fat ... but I added 1.5 inches on each arm and added 50 lbs. to my bench ... my waist went from 38 in. to 30 in.

cardio in the morning ... empty stomach
high protein diet .. with flax oil and peanuts ..
weight training ... focus on basic movements for mass and use low-rep very intense workouts.
