Mandie

Thank you for all the well-wishing.

Almost a week later, and I still can't stop looking at my ring. I named it 'Sparkles'. lol :)

I get to go dress shopping in 2 weeks when I go on vaca with my family. :) Woo-who!

Active lifestyle? You mean you can actually lift with your rings on?

I dunno... Back when I had my rings I always wore them on a chain around my neck as the rings would cut into my fingers, not to mention the fact that I was afraid to lose the stones from either my wedding band or engagement ring. I wore them one on each hand as the stones were "too much" to be worn together. My ex had lost diamonds from his wedding band a few times (the jeweler had always replaced them immediately as this should not have happened with normal wear and tear), but that was enough to make me take my rings off and put them around my neck.

Best wishes for a long and happy life together.

Yup, I can lift with it no problem. Doesn't bother me, doesn's scratch, doesn't pinch, nothing.

The band is not thick or wide, and I only have my e-ring now, not a wedding band. Maybe when both are on my hand I will have to take them off. Who knows. But it doesn't bother me in the least to lift with it. And I am not worried about losing a stone, if it is going to happen, it will happen - in the gym or out. It's not like I am running around willy-nilly slamming the ring into weights and machines. I don't have diamonds all around the band either, and don't plan on having that for my wedding ring either.

And as far as an active lifestyle, it does not mean just the gym. The gym is actually a small part of my activity - the rest is working with children.

I lift with mine also and never use gloves. I have never had much of a problem but the stones are not "too much" together and the band is not wide

I guess I am just a pussy then LOL. I had one band on each hand and though I don't bang shit into equipment willy nilly, I am admittedly a klutz. Now I have no need for rings as I am divorced. On the one hand I wished I would have kept the rings for my kids someday, but they were lost a long time before the marriage was over so it doesn't matter much. The noodle necklaces and simple beades that my kids make for me bring me all the happiness I need.

I only wear simple pearls from Hong Kong and the platinum choker from Tiffany's that my beau gave me.

Glad to hear you work with children. I have several of my own. I would have liked to have been a kindergarten teacher but having four kids of my own back to back with no help whatsoever while runninng a household and a business kind of cured me of that "delusion" hehehehehee.

I honestly wish you nothing but happiness and a long, prosperous life together. :)

Congrats Daisy ;)
