Happy girl here .... I got engaged Sunday night!

So he took me out to a nice dinner at a place we are considering for our rehersal dinner. Then took a walk around the lake where we are having the ceremony/reception. Near the ceremony site, we stopped and he got down on one knee and made it official. He is quite the sweetie.

We started planning the wedding about 6 weeks ago, but weren't engaged yet. lol It's funny, even though we already had done wedding plans, it feels SO much more "real" now. All the wedding plans are done (no dress yet though), but NOW I feel like it is real. I'm so backwards, lol

It is a 3 stone ring, with 3 oval stones, band is white gold. I love 3 stone rings, but don't like round stones or princess stones on ME. BUT, I had never considered anything other than round or princess. But then we tried on an oval one, and I fell in love with it. The band is white gold. I had wanted platinum (duh), but the jeweler talked me out of it because of my lifestyle. She said white gold is more durable and scratches less with an active lifestyle.

I am SUPER happy. I can't stop looking at the ring.....it is so sparkly.

That's strange...I always thought Platinum was much more durable than gold (or at least that's what they told us in high school chemistry!)

Durable, but scratches easily. I can't imagine she was making it up, since the platinum one was about 1K MORE.
