My modified "Get Big Drink"

New member
After reading through an old Bodybuilding book of mine "The Keys to Progress" I found a recipe called the "Get Big Drink". From this, various experimentation and more recently nutritional analysis I've come up with my most definate favourite way to pack on weight (good muscle).

1L Non-fat milk
1 cup non-fat milk powder
2 scoops (~60g) protein powder (I like chocolate here)

BLEND

1 Egg
60-75g natural peanut butter
60-75g malt extract
1 Tablespoon of flax seed oil
2 Tablespoons heaped of cocoa
2 Tablespoons heaped of dextrose/glucose (same thing whatever)

BLEND

Eating this every day just in addition to what I normally eat has been fannnntassstic. Gaining a solid kilo or so a week of mostly muscle without any additional supplementation. It appeals to me because it's easy!

Quick nutritional breakdown (approximate)

Energy: ~7000kJ
Protein: ~150g
Sugars: ~154g
Starch: ~20g
Saturated fats: ~10g (probably less)
Polyunsaturated fats: ~15g

I've been away from the forums for a while but hopefully with renewed enthusiasm I can rejoin the ranks!

Hell yeah I've been eating raw eggs for years and years never been sick. Just make sure you know what to look for in eggs (such as no spots, consistant colour, no cracks or dry spots).

Do you drink this thing in 1 hit? It sounds like an awfully big drink. Or do you space it over the course of the day. Drink before workout or after workout?? Interested in trying this or at least something similar. Does it taste good?

I usually break it up into about 8 serves a day (~ 1 cup per serve).

I'm about to go back on this in about 3 or 4 weeks (when I'm happy with the fat loss after the other experiments with this) so I'll definately orgainse some progress pics. I'll be pretty skinny by then so hopefully I can demonstrate it's power! Haha

how much is 7000kJ? as in calories?

i'm in my bulking phase too - was thinking about just having one weight gain shake (already got a tub - 30gr protein 10gr fat 70carb, 450 calories per serving), as well as one pint of whole milk, as that's almost 450 calories itself.

what do ppl think of whole milk?

7000kJ = ~1700 calories.

Whole milk... the issue is the amount of saturated fat if you drink it all the time. If you can handle skim/no-fat you'll bulk more cleanly.

Peace
