something i always think of when i lose something i cant replace (sentimental stuff) is that the meaning can never change regardless of where that thing is or what has happened to it. your dad will never have not given those things to you regardless of where those things are now

thats the reason i have given away some of the things that mean most to me - i just think that it is a fitting ending to something special...but its a terribly hard thing to do

i wear a cross that my godfather gave me when he christened me...ive worn it for over 20 years, and it has left my sight maybe 3 times since then...im thinking of throwing it in the sea, or burying it with him when he passes, because i couldnt stand to lose it when my chain snaps

Did you have to buy your stuff back? Or can you just take it back?

I called the Detective handling my case and told him where I found some of my stuff. The pawn shop owner had to give me my stuff back and the shop was fined. By law, pawn shops are supposed to take a valid id, name, etc..

This shop owner didn't bother...

I wasn't buying my stuff back either...I would have gone into a roid rage on the spot before I WOULD have ever considering buying my stuff back.

you should try to think if anyone you came into contact recently couldve done this.. maybe you mentioned something about a new guitar or amp you bought at a bar or restaraunt..

did you meet anyone recently who you found strange or a little to inquisitive?

did you have any new guests over to your house recently?

have any of your friends met anyone like this recently?

do you know anyone who has fallen on hard times and might need a quick cash fix?

did you make any large purchases recently?

have anything expensive delivered to your house recently?

mostly likely the person breaking into your house knew they were going to get a big score so they had to come across that info somehow..

Thanks for the kind words everyone. Today was rough. I did'nt sleep at all last night due to paranoia. Dealing with insurance sucks ass and will be a pain in my ass. I am really tired and hurt.
I was thinking last night how lucky I really am. If I would have come home while the guy was robbing my home, I would probably be dead. He stole my gun which was always loaded. He probably would have shot me. Now that is something fucked up to think about.

Some old people I know with a lot of money got broken into middle of the day, when a moving company drove up, uniformed guys rang the doorbell, said we're coming to move your stuff.

people went oh well im sorry but you're mistaking we're not moving. Then they locked these two old folks in the toilet and emptied to house top to bottom. Even all the furniture.

Most of I could care less about. they are just material things. I hate that my recorder is gone. I had a bunch of recordings on it. I still can'y believe they did'nt take my 2 electric guitars.
