Is it just me or does everyone want to get jacked, ripped and be a fighting machine but not want to put the work in:confused:

Seriously though i have two friends who want to use AS and are bugging me with tons of questions. All I tell them is to really lift for 6 months and get back to me on how their progress is... And what do they do, they bitch how I won't help them and they have been hardcore and been eating right.... It pisses me off cause they eat these little dainty meals and lift on the machines yet expect instant results:mad: They don't want to Squat or Deadlift, or even do a set to absolute failure... The worst part is they think if they gear up all of a sudden they are goona get huge and that you just magically grow.... I told one friend if he did us AS he would probably gain only 10-20lbs he then proceeded to bitch and moan "that's it".

Sorry about the rant but I don't get why people lift as hard as they can, eat as much as they can possibly fit into their stomachs, and sleep. At least try to gain some weight and then use the stuff. I even asked the one friend to train with me and he said "NO, man you do really weird shit at the gym, I mean what do deadlifts really work anyways?" It is this attitude that makes me get so angry i want to bash my own friend's face in witha 45lbs plate..... whatever happened to lift hard eat well and grow????

All the dumm fucking jocks at school are like that in the school gym

I load up a barbell on the floor to do deadlifts and they look at me funny. Then they go onto finish there 20 rep set on a fucking leg extension machine or something.

Even one of em goes "Why are u doing that? That isnt even an exercise! That is just picking weight up off the floor! You are only doing yourself damage!"

Or "why are u only doing 4-6 reps man? You obviously dont know anything about weightlifting."

And god forbid if i was to put enough effort into my lifts in which my face goes red and i groan to get the bar up. They just sit there do a few light reps and talk to eath other, putting in no effort what so ever.

I was even called a try hard once !!!! LOL!!! i was accused of trying hard!!! See any irony there?

If only i had a guy like b fold to put them back in there place

It is sad but unfotunatly most people think getting ripped is easy, how many people have you heard over the years tell you they didnt want to get to big? Like the shit sneaks up on you and a few weeks in the gym and you wake up one morning huge....that always cracks me up.

:D I would have to say women are the worst at that! THe other day there was a trainer taking this woman around at my gym and he was trying to show her how to do seated curls, and all she kept complaining about was that she didnt want her arms to "get too big." Meanwhile, she's curling 3 lb. dumbbells.

I love women and all, but sometimes they are just too stupid!

I thougt I was the only one with this problem.......


Here is my scenario...............

I walk in fully Clothed (Fav T-Shirt, Thermal long sleeve underneath, Ball cap worn Forward/shorts)

warmup /Deadlift.....no screaming/grunting except red faced and expressions of the fantasy of quitting
working all the way up to singles w/o wraps (except w/585)

Then I do Bent rows ...then follows Dbell rows finish with weighted pullups........


Theres a couple of clowns that in the past two years have not changed a smidgen bit have not even put on weight (they do 1/16th" sqauts w/ 10# plates under there heels and a modified version of a hammer/clean push-press Dbell curl with 65#'s in each arms with wristwraps) but yet I am called an arrogant MOFO and show-off and that I am a wanna-be

I always respect people greet them and even help them unrack weight that other idiots have left for example i.e. 45 lbplate on one side and a 25# plate and two 10#plates on the other side......( I have even had people come up to me after I have paired up plates ready for squats and have been asked if they can use that plate even though there are thousand of 45# plates to pick from., Anyways I keep to myself smile but yet you hear snide remarks and looks of what in the Fuck are you doing and why are you doing that??

Everyone around me wants to eat what they want, lift like a bodybuilder or on machines, look like a bodybuilder, and be stronger than a powerlifter.

true that, I mean you would think my friends would understand that it takes real dedication and work. And it isn't like I don't lead by example and show them my workout, I just don't get it, they must think I lie around all day pick up the weights move them a little and all of a sudden I get bigger:mad: shit like that doesn't happen....
 
I guess they think its like pubic hair.

Remember, one day you looked down there and it was like "damn, where did all that shit come from."

I can't stand the "I don't wanna get too big" thing....

.... my sister keeps asking me for new ways to lose weight, and she's really dumb about it. I tell her to lift some weight on top of her cardio.... do some resistance training. But she says "I don't wanna look like those bodybuilder women" referring to Vicky Gates and the like....

.... geez, she couldn't if she tried. As if mass like that could happen if you didn't absolutely intend it to.
 
I have been asked several times by people "where do I buy my juice". First of all I don't take juice, I eat right and work out hard. I recently started a cycle of 4AD Gel but up until now it has been diet, hard work, and rest. People don't get it and in our world of quick fix meals and shit, people always want the easiest way to get to there goals. This one guy asks me how to get a good stomach, he is thinking of doing lipo suction. He has a 36" waist, probably could be a 32" but isn't willing to diet and do anymore then 30 situps. After I leave the gym, he is eating 2 frigin donuts next door at the donut shop. I say, "you want to have a good stomach, quit eating those friggin donuts after your workout everyday". The truth is getting in shape is a lot of work, you guys know it. And once you are there (where ever there is) if you don't stick with it, you fall back immediatley. It is a lifestyle, not a road trip.
How many of you have seen it, the New Years Resolution crowd, filling into the gym for the new body. 2-3 weeks, you won't see any of them. I go to a big gym, go the same time during the week and on weekends. I can't count on one hand the regulars. And they look like regulars, and they workout like regulars which means they do dead lifts and lunges and use the free weights and bust there ass. They are the ones that have made working out a part of the lifestyle, until you get to that place, don't event ask about juice or AS.

That is SOOOO true. I find that a similar thing happens at my gym every monday. You get the whole crowd of people who go out all weekend drinking bears, doing drugs, killing brain cells, and then come monday they think "Maybe i should work out seeing as i drank 21033430 calories in beer this weekend." Then of course by tuesday, they must have taken care of it, cause the gym is empty.

The worst case of that though, was at my school after winter and spring breaks. For like a week or two after, the gym would be packed!!! And its all filled with stupid people who i believe are there for the very purpose of making me wait for a machine or a bench or whatever it is their fat, useless asses are taking up [not that i am one to talk about fat asses :p ]

Regulars in my gym, maybe like 4 or 5 guys that actually come to work. There are other regulars , but i don't see why ... they dont do much.

type people

So you can imagine thir reactions when i was doing board presses. One of the scrawny YMCA staff members came over and told me that the board presses looked to dangerous. Then asked
"Where did you get an idea like that from anyway?"
"Well actually, i had a dream about them last night, so i thought id give it ago...."

Dont you love those scrawny arse dickheads that run the gym. They think they are better because they can run 30km as opposed to having a huge muscular body that picks up chicks in a second.
