Wow, you're pretty mouthy for someone who's stepdad is the only reason he has a job. Your stepdad and his brothers built the business...attracted the clientele, raised the capital, and established a brand. You just happened to pop out of your mother's legs, and she remarried (smartly) to someone who was wealthy. So all you had to do was walk in there, and serve the clients that their marketing brought in. Inbound sales, so difficult.Despite that, they still had to buy you your house.

tough life.

show some fuckin humility.

close, but wrong.

I helped my family build this business. We've only been doing it for 11 years now and it's where it is today becuase of my brother and I. It wasn't even a real business at first and only a hobby for my dad to give him something to do.

The storage unit company has been around longer and I also helped with..which doesn't matter anyways because I get no income off of them (wish I did).

Prior to that it was all agriculture work, which in the summers I would work bailing hay, grinding it, raking it, blah blah.

And my family didn't buy me a house, that was a joke a friend of mine made online once that puddles thinks is hilarious.

Wurd nugga!

Well....if that is true, then i applaud you. why didn't you guys get the credit though? at least in name

No. There is nothing comparable that people can pledge such blind allegiance to and justify their actions no matter how horrific. Maybe nationalism, but in no way that does that affect the masses in the way "God wills us" does.

That is a lame argument and one you know is inaccurate.

Bino, remember how you were surprised that someone intelligent and educated can believe such things? Well, the truth is, intelligent people have a great way of rationalizing their beliefs regardless if they are true or not, especially if they heavily invested. (i.e. plunk and his pot agenda)

Yeah, if such actions needed to be rationalized you'd be totally correct.

Unfortunately they don't. Unreligious people commit crimes all the time. It has nothing to do with religion, it's nature, like I said. A man is angry at another man, so he kills him. A man wants what another man has, so he steals it.

You're more delusional than any God-believer if you honestly think such acts wouldn't occur without organized religion.

Who said they wouldn't occur at all? now you're attempting to deflect the issue at hand.

This isn't about black and white. This is about scale. Some of the largest conflicts or wars in history were brought about because of religion. That is written fact.

tens, if not hundreds of millions, have died as a direct result of religious motivated conflict.

Exactly.

they (my uncle) picked the name when it was still a hobby of my dads. Plus, it's hard to "rebrand" the name after the fact...

You see they were tired of farming and sold all the equipment. The storage units and all the land are paid for free and clear and they didn't need to work so they basically retired.

My dad started hanging around the local boat shop and became friends with the guys that run it. They started taking him to the dealers only auctions and got him signed up. He started buying cars just for something to do, and at the time was only charging $100-$500 markup per vehicle.

Word spread that you could get a car here for very little markup and the hobby kind of exploded into a business that they weren't ready for. They offered no financing or anything.

In comes my brother and I, we set up everything with the lenders, learned all the technical shit about lending and rules/regs got afip certified blah blah. My brother originally did all the financing and I was in sales, then my brother wanted to venture out on his own and I took over the F&I dept.

that's the long and short of it.

Politics and religion blind otherwise intelligent people, i'm def guilty.
And plunkey's issue with weed grates me cause he is a fellow good conservative, or at least he claims to be...IMO no true conservative can be for a gov dictating what a man can or cannot ingest.
True conservatives allow for free choice, anything less is socialism imo
