Man, I stopped in at this vitamin store that was closing yesterday and they had these tubs of Muscle Milk on sale for $22, with the second one half price. So I thought what the hell, it was only $33 (+ tax), why not try it.

I got Root Beer Float and Chocolate. They only had one chocolate and the other choice was between a bunch of root beers and orange creamsicle...

I just tried the root beer for the first time. DAMN!!! that shit was so good, I opened the chocolate and tried it too. I just had two shakes and both of these were fucking awesome.

I just wish the protein content was bit higher. It is 32 grams per serving.
 
Is it anything like Lee Labrada's stuff, cuz that shit rocks.

Course it's loaded with sweetner.
 
I wish there wasn't so much fat in it.
 
Labradas new ProPlete Gold is really good. The banana is the best. As for Muscle Milk its awesome, cutting or bulking its good cause its loaded with EFA's. Root Beer is my fav followed close by the Blueberry.

Yeah, the banana is my favorite too.
He makes a protein bar too, and one is cookie -n- creme. Freakin' nice taste!

Is that anything like his Pro V 60? cause I had some of that once and it tasted utterly nasty. I was sick after drinking my first shake. I gave the rest of it away. I had the chocolate flavored which tasted like stale cardboard. Unusual and it took me by surprise because all his products are the bomb in taste.
 
i have 2-3 of these per day. and to be honest......i have gotten leaner since i started using this stuff.... for me root beer float, cookies & creme are my favorite. vanilla and choclate are solid as well
 
Man, I wish they had cookies and cream for me to try. They did not have a big selection as everyone had already gotten the best shit.


I looked at the Proplete profile on Labradas website... I wasn't all that impressed.

Again it is whey concentrate - I wish he would start using whey isolate, and it is 36 for a tub. One scoop = 20 grams. 28 servings per container. So I would need 3 scoops for my post workout. That would give me "almost" 9 servings. That is $4.00 per serving. His lean body packs are a much better buy. 20 packs for $29.00
 
cookies and cream is good AAP. i usually add another 20gm scoop of protein to anything chocolate based. makes for a mighty hefty shake!
 
If you're a strawberry fan ISS Research Pro M3 is really good.
 
I just picked up some Strawberry Muscle Milk today. Chocolate, Root Beer, and Orange Creamiscle are all good.

To bump up the protein - I just throw a scoop of vanilla protein powder in with 2 scoop of Muscle Milk. Doesn't affect the taste too much, if at all.

I've always been skeered to try muscle milk 'cause I thought it was a hokey knockoff. Guess I was wrong. After soooo many bad protein powders, I pretty much stick to what I know is good.

I'll have to give it a try when I see some. I like strawberry, so that sounds good.
 
Been drinking that stuff for over 3 years now.....Root Beer rules over all others in my opinion. I have drank that alone for the last 2 years with no change in flavors.

Definately best tasting protein ever. I actually just tried it myself last week too, cookies and cream..........awesome.


In regards to the fat content, it does appear high, but according to the label 80% of the saturated fat content is from MCT's which supposedly don't have a propensity to get stored as fat.
 
root beer and the chocolate are sweet. i didn't care for the minimal protein content either so i throw in 15 grams of Animal's hydrolyzed whey. (47g serving) it tastes the exact same, almost better since the muscle milk can get too sweet at times.

if you haven't tried Animal's protiein you're missing out. Especially for those of you willing to spend a few extra bucks for quality stuff. here's a c/p from his website at animalkits.be

Yep....people give me ha hard time because of the fat content...but like kronk said, it s EFA's. I've been using it on and off for a couple years now.
