This site is great. To me it looks like Jay was better than Ronnie so I am glad to see Jay win the title. Ronnie had an awesome run

look, I've thought jay beat ronnie a couple times over the last few years.....but this year? I just don't buy it....just judging from those call out pics, Jay beat Ronnie "only" from the back, Everything else Ronnie won IMO.....and that's the first time I've ever said that. I don't get BB anymore. I'll take Jay in 2000-2001 over this year's jay....

This years Jay is far better than the Jay of 2001. His back is bigger than RONNIES, who thought we would ever say that about anyone? Jay was fucking massive at 275 and dry as fuck. He beat Ronnie in everything except arms. Ronnies legs were more massive but Jays were much more shredded. Jay's calves are better, his abs are WAY better. Ronnie had gyno so I have to give chest to Jay even though Ronnie has more mass in the chest. Jay has better shouldars. Jay had drier glutes. Jay looked good in 2001 but he didnt have the back he has now.
Ronnie has looked better in the past, this was Jay's best and he is a deserving Mr. O

This isnt the first time Ronnie should have lost. IMO Levrone beat him once, Flex Wheeler beat him once, and Jay has beaten him twice. This sport is very subjective like a beauty contest so you get this kind of controversy all the time.

I hate top say it , but Lee Haney won 8 Mr Olympias and his key bodypart was his back. From the pics it does look like Jay Cutler thicker back muscles and a wider lat spread. If you look at the read double bicep , Cutler shoulders are also bigger then Colemans.

Dexter Jackson owns them both in Abs and waist structure. Ronnie has the worst abs on stage everytime he shows up though IMO. Gjohnson is right though, biggest back wins the show. Haney, Yates, Coleman and now Cutler all had the biggest back on the stage when they won their titles. I think Ronnie had Jay on a few things and Jay had ronnie on a few things and it really came down to conditioning.

Every one is entitled to their opinion I have mine you have yours .I have noticed over the years guys admire role models that have bodies similar to theirs or something they can achieve.I have long admired lee labrada ,shawn ray ,dexture jackson, and frank zane for their physics and a body I can come somewhat close to achieving at 200lbs to 215lbs at 5'7 1/2 . If a person waiste line forces then to admire people like Jay cutler, Greg kovacs, then your entitled to what you think looks good and so be it look up to your role models not everyone can have a 28-31 inch waiste .I under stand that and sorry to dog your role model jay due to the stomach thing
charger1968 sorry man I am a nice guy i'm just tired of the games joe weider plays with bodybuilders these guys have the willpower , strive for excellence, give 110% they bust their asses day in and day out only to show go through prejuding and already know the outcome of the contest the daybefore the actual show but then still show up the next day and have to act surprised .While the winner is the person joe feels would sell the most magzines at 6$ a pop to a few hudred thousand people in the underground bodybuilding world along with putting that persons face on a bucket of nasty tasting joe weider protien .last but not least will be the jay cutler 100lbs plastic weigth set with bench at wal-mart for 50$.
Thats my only arguement and everyone elses to why bodybuilding has and never will be called or even considered a sport to the general public is the leader and person picking the judges and outcome of the contest has a self intrest in selling magazines to read about " jays battle for the o" " or ronnie vows to comeback" how the fuck could bodybuilders be so blind to not see this. all the 1st place mr o's get photo opps,interviews,guest posing gigs and sighned to joe weiders contract for as long as they are winning the title.when jay turns into old news the magazine articles are not selling and people get tired of him winning, wether he deserves to win or not joe will bump out jay and on to the next money maker.
should have let ronnie win this last one then just retire.but nope jay taking it will sell magzines and money is the bottom line.Atleast it is to joe wieder with a net worth of over 230 million dollars. yet the winners get a few hundred grand for 5 or so years if they are lucky then spend the rest of their life going to local gymn openings to pose for 1000$ and sighn a few pics for 25$ a pop.Give it time as soon as jay stops winning in 5 years he will be as broke as flex wheeler moving back into a 2 bedroom apartment while joe prob made a extra 30 million of jays name.

I see you are a short little guy, you probaly have little mans complex. Girls don't like you so you compensate with your gear use. If you support bodybuilding so much then please diet down get around 225 6'4 5% bf I'll get you entered in a few local east coast events and then see how your skinny body 6'4 at 225lbs is judged standing next to a little 5'7 1/2 210lbs bodybuilder you will prob just be looked at as comic relief ) but you might gain repect for everyone in the sport not just the freaks on the big stages 3 times a year but the rest of us the other 175,000 bodybuilders world wide of all weight classes , heights big and tall becuase its us that keep the sport going by entering and attending local shows, showing our support for each other its our gym member ship dues, our money spent on supplements,money for food and nutrition that actually keep the sport alive not the same 5 freaks on a stage.Its not about winning bro its about the love for the sport I give props to lightweights and bantam weights some are only 5'2 but train just as hard if not harder then people 100lbs heavier . Just as I know its harder for someone that 6'4 to pack on mass if they have long muscles .I'm sure at 6'4 its not easy to squat 700lbs or bench 400lbs for you the distance the weight has to travel can be much further then a person only 5'7 or 9 inches shorter then you.So I admire you rability to gain muscle with long insertions and muscle bellies your not skinny bro I was just saying that becuase you were insulting me with this little man stuff. I said it once and i'll say it again. jay is the most unattractive Mr O to date .His waiste his huge bigger then colemans in width and girth jays vascularity or lack of makes his upper chest look flat,jays large bone structure does not accent his muscle bellies or create the illusion of a full round 3-d body .jays coraco brachiallis can not even be seen at all in the front double bicep is should lie just under the bicep brachii and above the tricep but its not seen even his brachiallis is not prevelent those are the only flaws I can find In jays body its mainly just upper arm speration and development along with the wide waiste line everything else is very symetric
normuscle once you stop attacking people with personal insluts please comment the reasons why you feel jay won the mr o title in comparison to everyone else point the strong points and why you felt jays body was the best on stage tune out your night from the show and let the crowd have no influence with cheers or boos look at the line up compare each pose for pose and tell me exactly why you choose jay as the total package

Ronnie's arms in a front double bicep are amazing, this has become his best pose. His back is still huge, but looks smaller than in previous years. His legs are to big, not enough detail.
Look at all of the pictures, he was not in great shape, as he had trouble breathing and flexing at the same time. The guy is 40+, he has had a great run, should have lost a few times along the way and now he has.
Jay looked better from behind than Ronnie, and his abs looked better, even though they are funny shaped. Jays problem is that he can't get good seperation in his arms, like some of the other guys. Ronnie's waist is just as big as Jay's, so thats a mute point.

You know, I guess I have to restart this old flame war for the people that still have this on their minds.... I don't really get all the posts all over the net where I've seen people stating how clearly Ronnie beat Jay. I could possibly live with the "You got to KNOCKOUT the Champ!" argument, but all things being equal...
I've looked at tons of pics and I think Ron's fans are closing their eyes to some obvious things. I mean, Ronnie has developed a bad symetry problem with his triceps in the front double bi. His calves look like they came from two different people. I mean, just horrid, and that's something a judge and many impartial spectators will see, but few Ronnie fans glancing at pics, often not even showing the full lower legs will notice. His calves were never great, and now whatever the hell he did to make them large enough to compete on the bigstage (and win the title vacated by a man with possibly the greatest calves of any Mr. O ever) is starting to come back to haunt him IMO.
The knock on Jay was always his blockiness. Well, Jay is so friggin wide at this point- I mean LOOK at the side by sides- he has got to be literally 5 inches wider than Ronnie at the shoulders. When you throw in a little blurriness in Coleman's midsection and that unbelievable X-frame of Jay's, I mean the blockiness just is no issue at this point. If his midsection is blocky, well there's no better way to get past that than supernaturally wide shoulders.

No way Jay was bigger OR wider than Ronnie for that matter...BUT, Jay looked better...I will probably get flamed, but I didn't think it was a fair call back in 1995...Jay should've won then too...
