it's not like being treaty indian.. it's not percentage-based and not seen that way. it's a culture.
anyway, to explain how it works for treaty cards for first nations people (which is the way determing metis is probably gonna go).. if a treaty indian and another race have a kid, then the kid is still treaty. if that kid has a kid with someone non-first nations... then that child, too, is treaty. but that's where it stops.
just curious, no flame, but at what point does a person stop being jewish?
