Morning cardio Vs. PW cardio

Hey all

I'm just unterested in the difference between morningcardio Vs. Powst workout cardio. I hate morningwalks and are also affraid loosing muscle. I have been doing cardio now for 40 minutes Post my workout and 3 times per week I also do 30minutes cardio in the evening(2 hours post a meal).
What are your thoughts on morningcardio Vs. Post workout cardio? What would be better(think of muscle sparing, cortisol and so on).

You hinder your gains by doing cardio PWO.
I talked about it in this thread, have a read bro.

Sample :

Doing cardio on a empty stomach is muscle suicide. You need to suppress cortisol from the night fast as soon as you wake up. Have some oats before any training.
Obviously, if you're cutting, reduce the amount of oats.

On an empty stomach, your body will use the most readily available energy - muscle glycogen. Then, you'd burn muscles stupidily. Like I said, have some oats, and then do some long duration cardio-medium intensity (65% max HR) for maximum fat burning. (Or HIIT, which is a proven and very method too)

Doing cardio before weightlifting is not optimal. It will deplete your glycogen stores and your lifting will suffer. Doing cardio right after your weightlifting is out of question. At the time, you must be consuming your PWO shake, and nothing else.
You have to separate cardio from lifting by 6 to 8 hours.

For people who REALLY doesn't have the time to separate them, I'd suggest to do cardio first. You have to keep in mind that it's not optimal and as I said, you'll be already tired. Why not after ? PWO Shake. The most important meal with morning's one. You HAVE to consume it and not do anything else as soon as you've finished working out. Doing cardio at that time will be stupid, that will be killing your gains.

Hope that helps.

I disagree with this completely I have all my clients do 1 hour of cardio on an empty stomach every morning when they wake up at my house. :mix:

No seriously, I have trained many men, many many many men. And they all agree that sc is the best...

Morning cardio after an only-protein meal is an other option

I've heard that if you wait to eat for 45-60 after your morning cardio on an empty stomach that your body will keep burning fat and more efficiently during that time period. False?

I've heard the same thing ashley, and I am wondering the same thing.

Personally, I am not hungry for about 30 min post-cardio. I rarely eat right after cardio, and have always wondered what (if anything) that did to my results. Speed them up? Slow them down? ANY impact?

Ive also heard the same thing.
It seems that this subject ultimately comes down to how each person reacts...Some seem to lose a lot of muscle, others seem to lose mostly fat. To bad theres not one definitive answer

True!

However, it is more effective when doing HIIT.

If you do HIIT, then go ahead and wait an hour, as the increased metabolism outweighs the catabolism. The contrary is true for medium-intensity, long, steady cardio. So its your call. :)
