More weight/less reps or less weight/more reps??

I want to hear some others opinions too, but I do pyramid sets. I'll start out with 15 on lighter weight and drop down over 4 sets to heavy threes. Keep 8-12 on things that aren't compound moves. Works good for me and strength and grow. Hit each muscle once every four days.

I'm usually doing heavy weight with 6-8 reps for alot of my workouts but my body is getting used to that and am not seeing alot of gains anymore, jus talked to a few guys on here and they recommended trying alot of reps with a lighter weight.. So I'm about to switch up my whole routine here and see what happens.. I did it for legs tonight and talk about a pain I havn't felt in a year.. WoW.. I couldn't walk..

I like to do a burnout set with a light weight in the same workout as my heavy low 3-8 rep excercises. I might do sets of 5 on the incline bench and then flat fly 40 pounders for 50reps. Or one I really like doing is working up to a massive double on squats, and then finishing with a set of as many reps as I can do with just one plate, record is 135 x 70reps without locking out. It works great, and make ou feel like a real bodybuilder too!

I would never recommend going lighter usually except if you are doing HST in the high rep phase or you want to flush blood into the muscel after your heavy work sets. I would go and try 5x5, or 10x3 and jack the weight up more.
