mods reading members PMs?

Just wondering how common it is on this board, where mods spy on members pms.

Mods do not have the ability to read PMs. I think it can be done from the Admin panel (The feature was avalible in vBulletin 2.0, I'm not sure if it works on 3.0) the feature is only meant to be used when there is a serious case of abuse. Death threats, stalking and stuff like that.

If you want to send a message you don't want anybody ever being able to read, just use secure e-mail.
