although...if i only get 3 hrs of sleep in a night and take it when i wake up..ill be able to go n do my thang for a few hrs..then ill get tired..and nothing can keep me awake, not even modafinil. If ure really sleep deprived, imo, nothing can keep u awake...except maybe ephedra or amphetamines..but thats another story..lol
ante said:Also, if you take it often you will quickly build a tolerance to it, at first it seems like a wonder drug but after a few times the effect is much less and taking more ussually causes side effects like nausea/headache. I'm not 100% sure if this is true, but i've read from good sources that the military has already switched back to dextroamphetamine in most cases.
ante said:My experience was with people who had been prescribed to take it everyday for narcolepsy. Worked great for about a week but that was it. If you take it a few times per week for your games it may work much better.
bigtasty25 said:ive been taking it regularly the last 2-3 weeks, daily...and come to think of it...i have seemed kinda distant and spacey the last couple weeks..just watching people talk and waiting for their reactions to the way their body language intermingles n shit...almost like a drama...glad i know it just wasnt me...i think ill just take it 2-3 times a week on days im sleep deprived...good info here guys...
macrophage69alpha said:its effective allows for performance on minimal sleep. IMO there are some issues with its effects on brain chemistry. at moderate to high doses, as well as with lower dose extended use, it gives the user a very "detached" perspective of the world. Like to an extent you are "watching what happens".
this is probably why they were/are giving it to fighter and bomber pilots, its makes it easier to run near constant sorties as well as to drop the bombs

I know its approved for a shift sleep disorder (Like for working 3rd shift 1 week, then 2nd shift the next) This is kinda what I need it for with the fire dept.
bigtasty25 said:nah..got it from a source on 1 of the boards...powder form so i just cap it myself. im a paramedic student...so im sure ill need it eventually when i have to do 24 hour shifts...the 2 day off thing is kinda nice though...for the fire dept its pretty similiar i think..
