hmmm...not sure if they do..I thought someone said once they did...and as far as how long it stays..depends on what you take.

THey have to single you out for that test, its expensive compared to a regular drug panel test. Wouldn't worry as long as you can control yourself and not act like an idiot. Depends on the drug. Deca is 18months or so. Test is a year or something like that. Do a google search on detection times for steroids.

I "know" somebody thats been in for 4 years and has never been tested. And I also "know" a guy that it was obvious that he was on, but they were too lazy to do anything about it. From what I understand, they have tested , but unless you're 5' 10" and 250 lb. they won't bother. Anyways, when you're fightin' in Iraq next year, they won't care what you're on. Have fun.

I did three years in the United States Army. 19-Delat Cav Scout Army Recon. They do not test for juice. They just test for the usual THC,Cocaine,Morphine,The basics. And even when they do test a large amount of troops they only randomaly pick a few to send to the labs, I still wouldnt take the risk with Weed and shit like that but as far as juice your good inject till your ass turns blue

this Guy that has been in 8 years been on every year took a piss test last week and never pops. They dont test for them bro.

With question like this its only going to be a matter of time.

Some reporter will pick up on these threads and start asking questions.

I can see the News Headlines: Roid Rage in Iraq

blah blah blah

P.S I know my responce dont help either.

I was in for 10 years and one of my jobs while I was in was kicking people out and I never dealt with one steroid case. You are safe.

bro you are good to go.. like someone else said, unless you act like a idiot your fine. i was in for 10 yrs and i knew one guy who got popped. and that was because he go into a bunch of fights within his platoon and acting like a ass clown

They do not test for roids at all in the military. Well I guess they could if your commander pushed for it, but they usually won't bother as they'd love to have a bigger member of their Squadron/Platoon/Company/Fleet or whatever you may want to call it.

When I was in the Air Force the bigger you were the more respect you got. So in a way using would be a good choice.

With the recruiting shortfalls right now, they won't test. I wanted to join the military after college (I couldn't because of a back injury) and this was in 2002 before the war and they were disqualifying people for any and all reasons. They're waiving anything right now. In fact an openly gay total flamer doctor was just accepted into the military because he's a specialist and they're so short.

Maybe that specialist is an Urologist...lol :chomp:

You're safe. Last time I checked a roid test costed about $300 a person-and that's the cheap rate you get for testing a whole group of people. My guess is an individual test would be around $500-no way is Uncle Sam floating that bill.

I've heard of testing for roids once from my SP uncle in the air force, he investigated a domestic abuse case where the guy beat his wife- she told him the guy was on juice. My uncle ordered him tested, he came back positive for something (uncle never told me what). The guy ended up with 6-6 and a kick (dishonorable), for all you military folks. So they have that option at their disposal, if you get in a fight or do something violent. And you have no rights, you're not subject to constitutional protection- which means they can do anything they want to you at any time, any place.

True dat. They own your ass. But you've probably gotta do something stupid(like beat your wife and/or murder your mistress) and broadcast to everyone that you're using AAS to get tested. Looking the part won't help your cause either. Wear long sleeves 24/7.

that last sentance is funny shit sobering but funny...

You have to wonder why they would test for gear. The US military is dying when it comes to people joining, they need as much help as they can get.

Ask them.

How to ask? Say you are taking a med or supplement that produces false positive doping tests, this way you dont incriminate yourself.

don't worry..........Bush & Co will take you....they are murdering people every day in the sand dunes...gotta replace them!!

I heard they're so hard up they're even letting fat asses sign up and they still get to eat their jelly donuts during basic training.

Bro I was in for 8 years and had to do the damn tape measure test everytime we weighed in since I was only 5'7 190 then and pretty jacked and they never tested me. It was a joke at my weight I was only allowed to weigh like 155lbs! They would laugh everytime they had to tape me but if they would test in the Army the would lose to many people!

NO!! i know trust me :)

Your wrong. they don't test everyone for roids. However they will test if given a reason. I was an 11M stationed in Ft. Riley from 97-99. A squad leader pummeled a disobedient private. This particular nco was 6'4" 310 and jacked. His wife lived in Germany, he'd go see her twice a year and comeback form europe with tons of gear. he got busted down to e-3 from
e-5p, then bcd shortly after. there are AR's on the subject. I think I'll find the document and post it for everyone just to clear this up.

I used to be infantry at the 101st I know for fact they will prescribe that shit to SF if they want it. Anyway they dont test, they want you being a hard ass fighting machine and I would of love to have a little test in my system when I did a 16 mile road march back in the day.

They may say they test to be politically correct and not test (juice). Even if they do test for juice they probably wouldn't care if someone came up positive unless they needed a reason to fuck somebody over or kick them out. "Commanders can request samples be tested for steroids" they would never do that especially in todays depleted military.

ive been in for 4 yrs now and 50% of my platoon juices and nobody even questions it, in fact the only time they do its because they wanna get on themselves' but maybee thats just my unit. 3/75 Ranger Regiment

The only reason they would test is to fuck with you. You'd have to be acting like a dumbass. But irregardless of depleted army or not, they do test. They still kick people out, they still give ar15's, they still give court martials, its still the Army. To be tested for steroids in the Army, they have to single you out.

What Boogs said... I just brought it up again with my relative, and he said that the only people regularly tested for anything at his base were the nuke techs and launch personnel. The theory behind that is that someone could get a tech hooked on drugs and use them for access to a silo. (That's actually a pipe dream, because of all of the safeguards to prevent such a breach). But still, he said that steroid use and most other code infractions are regularly overlooked unless there is a "performance issue" or incident. :verygood:

Hey don't worry about being tested in the Military. It does not happen. It cost them too much money. They only test for THC, Coke, Meth.

Been in for close to 10yrs.

I have never heard of anyone3 getting busted for it. I have seen guys caught with it and get busted, but never by UA

Hope that helps

Sorry guys you are wrong. The military does in fact, test for steroids. And they do not have to single you out for it. That is a half-myth. If the commander has probable cause to suspect you're on roids, then he/she can get a warrant for room search (barracks personnel) if nothing is found but a warrant was issued, that warrant will most likely state the commanders option to test urine. In which case u will be subjected to take a test and if found positive, you can be put through UCMJ. Also, if the CO has not enough evidence to price his or her accusation of roid use, then he/she can ask you for a search and/or urine test. If u agree to piss and pop hot, you can be involuntary separated from the military. BUT.. Your condition of discharge (honorable, general or other than honorable) will not be decided based off the results of your UA. Your discharge will reflect your military record absent the UA. Then there is the random UA. The commander has the option of authorizing a roid test and in that case, the samples will be sent to a different lab and undergo thorough testing to determine if the roid use us of heavy use, light use and they can determine what you have been taking. Do any of you actually think the research labs are just military ppl? They're mainly civilians who do this for a living and know the chemical make up for a variety of roids. Ya'll should really do some research on this before blurting out myth answers ya'll hear from PNN. The only time most units pay a large sum of money for a UA, is when its specific. And the "random" testing protects the co from pointing out individuals they suspect of any drug use.
