Before you decide to chime in and say EVERYTHING...just stop yourself right now. Here is the scoop. I am in inactive status right now. I go back to MEPS and start drilling in April. My doctor put me on a med called Tranxene for sleep. Unbeknownst to me, it is a benzo type drug. Exact MOA is unknown albeit, it is a Benzo. I am wondering, will MEPS test for this medication? DOD form 1010.16 says that the DOD labs are equipped to test for marijuana, cocaine, amphetamines, barbiturates, phencyclidine, opiates, and
lysergic acid diethylamide. Sometimes they test for steroids. I am not a druggie, but from what my doctor said, I need to be tapered off of this medication and 3 weeks would be FAR to quick. Does anyone REALLY know what drugs are tested for when you go to MEPS?
This medication would make me non-deployable. So, I would rather not tell them.
