Had a great workout today that went a little something like this:

close arched back gms:
45x10
135x3
155x3
170x3
195x3
155x8 !



High bar squats
135x5
155x5
185x3
205x3


Rev hypers + light band
3x10

Pin 4 dls just for fun and grip
315x1
405x1 held them locked out for as long as i could while locked out

Wide straight leg situps with 25lb plate behind head (this was a lot harder than a 45lb plate on my chest...will be doing them this way from now on)

howd everything look? I think i fixed the problems with my high bar squats by slowing the decent speed, HOWEVER i feel like i can use less weight this way(???)

Your GM's look better. Just make sure you arch hard and sit back. Your high bar squats looked OK. Make sure you force your knees out on the way down. One or two or reps on your second set looked like your knees were coming in a bit. Are you only doing high-bar oly squats for assistance work, or do you alwyas squat that way?
 
i am just doing it for asistance really. I squat with a wide sitting back stance.
 
well, i am going to compete in a strongman competition august 16th. I don't have my implements yet but they will be here soon!
 
Great job getting supper low on the squats... That is how low I always try to get on my fronts... *applaud* :)

I'm not entirely sure, but I think I saw your back leaning in on them... I always try to keep my back as straight as I can... but on higher weights... it does lean out. :)

Damn your squats are low! My legs are too big to allow me to get that low :)

It will feel harder, becuase your chewing up more energy going down, but also your losing extra kinetic energy from the bounce - which is sorta like cheating :)
