Well i did some testing before i go into the 5x5 routine next week

although dropping over 45 pounds since october, and more recently 20, i was still a little dissapointed, maybe my high standards

squat: 335 most ever done not being on a smith machine

power clean (from the floor): 225 most ever done, failed at 245

flat bench: 255 ( dont know what to say about this, my bottom half is really weak, gotta do some rotator cuff work i guess )

to wrap it up

335 squat
255 bench
225 power clean

815 total :bawling: @ 199 6'3

That usually indicates weak lats. Do your barbell rows and really wide bench presses to correct the problem.
 
Lats? hmm, i have made my grip wider i nthe past months. One thing i learned after coiming to this site was how poorly i have trained my lats or lack of training i should say, thx for the input...
 
also, press towards your feet very hard. not only does this shorten the distance, but i believe it emphasizes for lats which is what you want.
