Odd why this isn't all over the news. You can go to venice, stop by a booth, see a 'doctor', get a script, and buy weed for a whole year legally!!

They're already sprouting up all over the city here, and cities are freakin' out on how to regulate it before it gets out of control.

13 states and counting. Of course, if you're military, cop, doctor, school bus driver, teacher, nurse, politician or any other poor schmuck - this doesn't apply to you.

but you can still get busted by the Feds for selling/buying it.
 
Peeps should move to Alaska. State law allows people to possess up to two ounces in their homes. You can also legally grow up to twenty five plants for personal use. It is actually written into the state constitution. Guess the eskimoes like their weed.

And since cali cops have zero desire to arrest weed smokers with doctor scripts (or just weed smokers in general) and cali politicians want to tax it, since the state is broke - the figth is over!!

10 of us are getting together next w/e to go see a doc and get our 'weed cards'. Man that'll be so cool to show off in clubs!

LOL. You know what? It's fucked because the DEA just not long ago did a big sweep on a couple shops.

If they're not registered with the city, legit, selling only to medical card holders and paying taxes - yeah they deserve to be busted.

Note the bold part btw. :)

I wish the government would get off the "weed is bad" wagon. Even most municipal cops, who are the people having to waste the most time enforcing our outdated and draconian drug laws, will tell you if asked that the vast majority of persons they arrest for marijuana is not for distribution or manufacturing, it is for simple possession. It is a complete waste of time and resources. I'd rather have the cops out looking for the guy who breaks into my car or burglarizes my neighbors house than screwing with some twenty two year old smoking pot in the privacy of his apartment while he plays PS3 and eats twinkies. Not advocating the abuse of marijuana, shouldn't drive when stoned, shouldn't smoke it in public, just don't like regulation when it comes to what an adult chooses to ingest.

It's been like this for years, just now the FEDS aren't gonna waste people's money and bust people.
 
We have more people in our prisons than anywhere on this planet, 60% of them are in for non violent crimes,possession,thats alot of wasted money to pay to house a non violent so called criminal that could be a productive tax paying citizen, but instead the gov has to pay like 7 thousand a year or more on these people for their upkeep, medical and other things,the war on drugs is a joke, leagalize MJ i have glaucoma and every day i fear of getting caught because it's illegal in GA, and if you are growing it even for personal use you will loose you house ,car -everything!This is 2009 and like Obama -"it's time for a change" think of the tax this would generate esp in this recession, hell even clinics for Drug abuse like AAA would even benefit!

You all don't think the Feds decision is based upon the brutal rise of cartel-based weed-smuggling violence from Mexico? Replacing cartel weed with homegrown taxed weed by american farmers up in northern cali.

Mexican Cartels will now try their best to get americans to do more meth, extacy and coke. Which will probably rise and be next on the agenda for legalization.

Well In general the state of California and the Country as a whole as well has to do something drastic and I feel this is killing two birds with one stone.
For one, generating more tax revenue on something new instead of gas, etc.
Second, legallizing weed here in the states would definately put a dent in the cartels for a bit by taking away some revenue from them but not much sisnce weed doesn't have it's weight in gold compaired to meth and coke.

Are you kidding me? Wasting money is what government is best at.
 
My state still has some of the toughest pot laws on the books. 35 grams is considered a felony, a roach or a pipe can catch you up to a year in jail plus a $2,500.00 fine. One plant can be considered distribution/manufacturing a controlled substance, another felony.
 
Oakland........... where are the Oakland peeps. Please Oakland people, tell EF'ers how shops have been going for a couple years now.

Uh yeah its been like this in California for a long time. How are you just hearing this now? In my County it is legal to grow up to 100 plants or in a 10x10ft square. Prop 215.
 
in oakland they even have a school on how to grow it....its called amsterdam university or something like that....i saw a special on mendocino...pretty interesting stuff
 
no matter who gets elected president, the entrapments of the office are always the same, obama is no exception
