The thing is.........smoking marijuana gives you the munchies right ??? Often people go for the "sugary" sweets (I've heard that it's because weed lowers your insulin levels, and sweets are the fastest way to get them back)..........and eating too much sugar raises ESTROGEN.....which in turn lowers testosterone levels.

Keep in mind that today's high grade cannabis can cause crazy binge style munchies....LOTS OF CANDY/ SWEETS consumption.....over time won't this lead to DAILY raised estrogen levels(for daily tokers) and so lower test as a result ??

ok.....if you're blintzing enough to actually see a drop in test.....this probably isn't your forum to begin with. Probably a non factor if you're actually ON test anyway.....cause you'd be taking an anti E. If you use weed to help you relax and get good sleep, no way it fucks with your test....if anything, the deeper sleep helps you with test production.
 
If you want deeper sleep try Lorazepam - no morning after hangover. Weed will rob you of your ambition. I know because I smoked it all day every day for 10 years. I'd like to hear of one successfull bodybuilder, powerlifter, olympic lifter, or strongman that's a regular toker. You don't need the muchies to eat 5,000 + calories a day - you need the dedication to get it done. You don't need to be stoned to cope with the pain of life - you need perserverance and a belief that what your doing is for a greater good. That's my opinion based upon my personal experiences.
That being said; I vote for legalization every time it makes the Nevada ballots. Fuck 'em if they can't take a toke - LOL.

yes, weed will do that to you over a decade of 356 days a year smoking......that's not the type of smoking I'm talking about, not every day, and not "alot"....enough to help you sleep. I've never heard of lorazepam....but I'm leary of sleep aid drugs, their effects can stay around during the day.....I don't want to be "dimmed". And I've never had a weed hangover, EVER. In fact, I pop out of bed after having smoked the night before.....which is unheard of for me. So congratulations to those who can clear their minds enough to get useful sleep without any drugs.......I'm not one of them.
 
smoking weed and bbing dont really mix, if only for the reason that it robbed you of any motivation to do anything....if u need help sleeping ambien or maybe even GHB is a better alternative...tho the latter can be dangerous if you dont know what your doing
 
I cant believe the misconceptions that are repeated here. "bitch tits" and "lower testosterone" from smoking marijuana is bullshit, fucking government propaganda. Please post up your scientific research on this crap or quit posting it please!
 
post post post....lol...bro i love to smoke weed just as much as the next guy...actually i love to smoke weed just as much as snopp dog...but to be a fighter....i just dont train when im high all the time...props to you if you can burn all day and get everything done...thats just not in the cards for me....weed is going to have to be saved for when im 50 years old and living in hawaii after my fighting career...
 
Weed doesn't allow REM sleep? Where's your backup? I work in a sleep lab and know about sleep phases, muscles repair in Slow Wave Sleep btw, stage 3 and 4, where on average we spend about 20% of the night in, its also the stage we secrete natural hgh. Especially around puberty. REM sleep is for the brain, SWS is for the body...

no proof dude...but you know when you smoke a lot and you stop dreaming...then you quit and you dream like crazy...dreaming happens in rem...you dont hit rem as good when your smoking the crypt every day
 
I smoke daily

I powerlift.

And my ambitions are high as hell.... in fact VERY High

Weed has saved alot of people from beatings, but im highstrung and weed relaxes me. BUT i also never let it get in front of weight training. As for if im going to lift, i would never ever smoke before a workout (i do loose some energy).

I bet my gains would be somewhat better w/o weed, but honestly i doubt its effecting to the point where i have to back up and say, WOW i gotta stop.

Also, the study that shows weed lowers test levels has already been disproven....There have been several threads asking this, i started a thread a while ago and got the studies in replies...

Besides weed doesnt lower protein synthesis, all it does it make u hungry. Have some willpower and realize your hungry because of the weed and if u make excuses that you can stop eating while high, they your too weak to be smoking, since when its time to quit you wont be able to.

NOW if you take ibuprofen after a long workout, have fun, ibuprofen lowers yours bodies ability to heal, maybe we should be talking about that =]

P.S. i have smoked at least 1x daily for the last 3 yrs around......i will cut it out one day, but not now....Its the only thing i do to relax....

and if you think weed unmotivates you...

I go to school Full time for Nutrition
I powerlift - Intense Trainig after school/work
My next competion is Dec 2
I have made several short films
I own ibeatweightloss.com
I started writing a weightloss book collection
I have a 1st Place trophy in the deadlift in APF last competiton
And im only 20

So if you say weed will demotivate you, make sure you point out everyone is different.

Robbed me of my ambition? Not everyone is a pussy that can't handle their vices. Lets see, I hold city state and regional bodybuilding titles, BTW-I smoked out right before I went on stage for every show. I also did a 535 lb bench press at age 23 w/ a pause/bench shirt-and puffed 5 mins before too. I make a 6 fig yr/ income and I've smoked almost everyday since I was 17. Hmmmm. I wonder if I never smoked weed if I'd be Mr O and a multi millionaire now???? I think not-but if I wanna blame someone for it I'll blame myself, not the weed.

And I just love the posts about bitch tits and lower test w/ weed use. I made a reference to this on a popular weed msg board-you'd have thought I just posted my plans to do a 36 week A-50/Halo/Tren stack as a 90 lb beginner weight lifter on EF. They tore me a new asshole and provided several docs disproving these Reefer Madness inspired myths. Saying that weed causes bitch tits is just as ignorant as saying that roids make your dick shrink. No offense bro-but you really need to upgrade from the Commodore 64 era of info. If you had that same mentality as far as roids go we'd all be dropping dead from heart attacks as I type.

You only remember a dream if you wake up during REM. Dreams happen in an instant of a second, even if they feel long they arn't.

You actually MIGHT be having a worse sleep, since all these interruptions in REM are triggering you to remember the dream.

If you sleep straight through, most will only remember their last dream, waking up just before the alarm clock, but if you wake from an alarm, you may not be in REM, so you won't remember your dream. That timing comes down to your bodyclock and whether your sleep deprived or in phase with it.
