I am considering running low dose accutane and wanted to know what most guys dose it at. I've read that 20mg a day is the lowest I should go while some guys run it at 10mg EOD. What do you guys think?
I am not male, but I used Accutane twice. I should have known better the first time. It actually made my breakouts worse. My male cousin did too. Now we both have chronic joint pain, I had my gallbladder removed due to Accutane, we both went through periods of IBS (that is awesome)... that's just the internal. I had so much long curly beautiful hair that I could barely put it in a ponytail holder... shit fell out like I was having chemo, my arm would sunburn on my drive home from work (a 5 min commute) and my lips and nose looked like they had been burned in a fire day after day after day.... honestly I don't know how it is still on the market.
I still have breakouts. One day my knee Dr. gave me a bottle of colloidal silver, told me to drink a TBL every morning (hold it under my tongue for 1 min & then swallow it), also put some in a spray bottle and spray it on my face each morning after you shower and each night before bed after you wash your face (or you back, wherever) -- also spray your pillowcase/sheets. I thought he was full of crap. Sure enough... it works! I just shipped a bottle to my bodybuilder friend, he has been using it for a week - working like a charm. My SIL same thing.
Personally, Accutane robbed me from any personal appearance self esteem (I am not ugly) I had for a few years and did no good, now I will have life long side effects. There are many other options. I would hate for you to regret your decision.
Do not use accutane. A friend of mine was on it and now has a huge lawsuit against the company. It fucked his whole shit up from Bleeding uslters and blood in his stool just to name a few things
