Low blood pressure

Just went to donate blood and my pressure was 110/68

Ive never seen a reading so low before. Should I be worried? Are there any recommended supplements I can take to improve my blood pressure?

That's not that bad. However, google he say:

  • Eat a diet higher in salt.
  • Drink lots of nonalcoholic fluids.
  • Limit alcoholic beverages.
  • Drink more fluids during hot weather and while sick with a viral illness, such as a cold or the flu.

How many readings did you take? I always try to take atleast 3-4 to get an average because sometimes results can be off so it doesnt hurt to get a measure multiple times!

Are you following a low sodium diet? Too much salt is obviously bad but some salt is needed for normal electrolyte balance in the body.

Low blood pressure is usually due to electrolyte deficiency.

Only symptomatic hypotension (low blood pressure) is a problem. Yours is actually ideal. Don't change your diet to try to raise it - thats how you develop heart disease.
