It was better when it was made from a Fina conversion! But even so you cant beat homebrew.

I was referring to the availability or lack of Finaplix pellets at a reasonable price. I always used my own chemicals also vs. a kit.

There are some good powders out there, but I felt the final product I produced from converting pellets was always stronger.

I really believe they were. I feel I have a very good powder source, but even with that I felt I could get away using less of the final product from the pellets. In other words I have yet to brew from powder a final product that was as strong as a Fina conversion, that simple.

Yes they are but the price looks to have tripled or quadrupled, $200 for a 10 dose cart, equals 2 grams of powder or two 10ml bottles. That makes it quite expensive per bottle.

Good point, Component TH appears to still be available for a decent price, but once you try to heckout most sellers request a Vet scrip, or is shown out of stock.

I jsut bit the bullet and ordered powder, seemed easier.

Component TH is cleaner. I hear somewhere that a rep from fina said that it was meant for slaughter so sterility wasn't a priority. I never need a vet script to purchase it here in FL

Luck you! I never got a chance to convert Component since Finaplix was so ready available.

I think Fina is used in the last 54 days also before slaughter, but I am not sure. I got a buddy here in Mexico that has show cattle and I gave him a couple of bottles I had brewed and he used it the last month and a 1/2 before the show, the bull placed first and went $10,000 pesos($800 or so dollars) more than his other cattle.
