You will come back and possibly even better. Here is a little story for you from my own experience. Last August I was 6 weeks into my first Oxandrolone only cycle and having awesome results. Was up 30 pounds in my bench, was about 208 lbs and 10% bodyfat and leaning out even more every day. Then all the sudden out of the blue I come down with a gastro-intestinal illness and put everything on hold. I wasn't able to get into the gym or eat very well for a couple weeks. I thought it was a flu bug or parasite as did the doctors but it got progressively worse. By the third week I was in the hospital and severely hydrated and weak. Finally I was diagnosed with infectious Colitis and was put on Prednisone to stop the inflammation. After one week in the hospital I walked out at 178 pounds, 30 pounds lost in 3 weeks. Mostly muscle, and to put that in perspective I lost 1.5" on my arms and even my legs which are naturally big shrunk below my genetic baseline.
Needless to say Prednisone is nasty shit and I was on it for about 2 months, in which time I could not control my appetite and put on a lot of fat. I tried getting back in the gym right away but it was futile. My body simply was not ready and my strength was less than half of what it was just a few weeks prior. My motivation was not at an all time high.
I decided to let my body heal naturally without running it down in the gym. I just ate what I wanted and although I put on some fat I did gain a lot of my muscle back naturally in a few months. After I felt back to normal I got back in the gym and started back up. I had lost a lot of strength however it was nowhere near as bad as when I first got out of the hospital.
After a month of natural lifting and getting my bearings back I finished up the leftover Ox from my first cycle. I dropped my dose to 30mg a day to extend it 6 more weeks. In that time I gained back all of my strength and was basically back to where I left off except I had a lot more fat this time around.
A few weeks later I decided to do a transdermal Fina cycle and 7 weeks later I am back to being almost as lean as I was when I got sick, but I am much stronger. As in 30 more pounds on my bench and more size all over, especially my arms. Since I wasn't as lean as I wanted I didn't really want to stop my cycle but the Fina isn't good to run too long. So I ordered some spanish anavar and I got them a week before I finished my Fina. I started them up to get them in full effect when my last spray of Fina was done.
And here I am today, I finish the last of my Fina tonight and will have 7 more weeks of Anavar to last me. I am also on low dose T3, Liquidex, Lipoderm-Y and oral Yohimbine HCL to help get rid of this last amount of fat. I put on some more stubborn, probably estrogenic fat during my Prednisone usage it it's a bitch getting it off, but it's slowly working.
So as you can see I came back and then some and it didn't take all that long. My recommendation is not to come back too hard and fast. Don't force it in the gym when you aren't ready, your body will let you know when it is ready. Also don't go immediately into a cycle, let your body get used to the weights and exercises again. When I first went back none of my lifts felt natural anymore, I felt like a complete newbie. After about a month I felt comfortable again and decided to throw my Anavar in to start my recovery.
Just stick in there man and don't let it get you down. You WILL recover and get past your previous best.
