lol at China's commie-made ocean vessels

I know, I was using it as "bewildered". These accidents happen year round all the time and people are utterly bewildered by the environmentalist reactions. It's only now I read some folks on the internet that normally wouldn't give a fuck are all of a sudden "boo chinese"....wtf? That's my point. SOrry if it wasn't clear.

meh, that's a big stretch bro.
the barrier reef is a popular spot for all, not just those that are left leaning.
and what annoys me most about enviro freaks is how much they hurt the working folks...the town i live in is completely devastated via enviro law protecting forests that the majority of the socal enviro freaks will never visit.
the hillbillies who live and work in the forests are the true stewards of our national lands not some hippy asshole trustafarian from socal.
end rant

a forest here, a forest there.....you do know that those tall brown things with leaves on them do more than just sit there right? They make our fucking oxygen bro. At some point somebody somewhere is going to get checked....either up in socal or down in the rainforests of south america. We can't cut em all down....:whatever:

no lol at the oceans they're fucking up.

Stranded ship "time bomb" to Great Barrier Reef

SYDNEY (Reuters) – A stranded Chinese coal ship leaking oil onto Australia's Great Barrier Reef is an environmental time bomb with the potential to devastate large protected areas of the reef, activists said on Monday.

The ship was a "ticking environmental time bomb," Gilly Llewellyn, director of conservation for the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) in Australia, told Reuters.

She said this was the third major international incident involving its owners in four years.

Australian government officials say the stricken Shen Neng I belongs to the Shenzhen Energy Group, a subsidiary of China's state-owned China Ocean Shipping (Group) Company, better known by its acronym COSCO.

In 2007, COSCO was linked to a major oil spill in San Francisco bay, while last year it was tied to another in Norway, both of which damaged environmentally sensitive areas.

"We are seeing a concerning pattern potentially associated with this company," Llewellyn told Reuters.

The answer here is obvious: We have to increase the standards for American vessels by at least 10x more than the current standards for American ships.

I figured I'd say it before Barry did.

the reef is going to be practically gone in 20 or so years, so the self righteous outrage I've been reading in the past couple days from news outlets here is even less than impotent. Why does anyone even care when the whole thing is scheduled for an early departure in a few decades that has more to do with how humans go about their business on this planet than it has to do with an oil spill which folks have gotten pretty good at cleaning up anyway. They'll get the ship out of there with little damage and then nobody will care about one of the great wonders of this planet for, oh, 20 or so years when on page 13 of the B section in the new york times there'll be a story about the reef being finally dead. And then we'll have moonlight vigils for a few weeks and then those people will feel comfortable with themselves again that their lifestyle had nothing to do with it yada yada yada. :whatever:

spiking trees, vandalism, taking food out of working people's mouths.
all so some socal dbags can fantasize about trees they'll never see and forests they know nothing about.
"save the trees!!!" has resulted in sick wildfires out this way.
guess it keeps me paid.
and no we can't cut them all down, no responsible forester wants that.
but they are a renewable resource, and they should be used.
it just grates me
