Local bands that are unbelievable... anyone?

Nothing around here is amazing. YAS and Dr. Doctor are decent.

Out on the Tiles and England are getting there.

The big bands around here are Lorene Drive and Istra. Lorene Drive are good people but their music is boring and done before (Glassjaw, anyone?). Istra is too much into the Jesus for me to give them a chance. Plus, one of their wives was a bitch to me, so forget them.

As Night Falls weren't really from around here but they played shows a lot here. They broke up but they had a decent poppy sound.

some of my favorite small bands...these 3 are all reggae/rock/hip hop/dub/sublime style bands. no emo shit on my list!

hypnology...used to be poopan hooligan....unfortunately after many years together these guys just broke up. they were one of the most talented and original bands that i have ever heard. check out their music on myspace as well as their website as their range of different styles is incredible.
