very simple. dairy is inflammatory and if you are using a cheap whey protein it is likely concentrate so it contains lactose
as for protein requirements, it is overblown. we actually know from studies you only need .6g per pound of body weight. so someone who is 200 pounds only needs 120g of protein a day

Another reason some get a temporary bloat is air. They either shake it like crazy or use an electric blender and swig it asap. If, however, they let the air settle they'd be less bloated.
