ok first off, he is a lyrical genious... second and he clainms himself the best rapper alive since the best retired...(jay z)...and third it is more like birdman rode his coattail to the top...if it wasnt for wany. baby wouldnt be shit. he has a unique style, alot of diff meanings in his music...and u tell me one single rapper right now who is putting out as much stuf as much stuff as him and being recognized for it. I really can't see anyone calling themselves the #1 rapper as they all suck as far as music goes. They rip off real musicians licks and hooks and add some talking over it and call it music. Come on, let's see one of them write, produce, play the music like Prince for one (not talking about programming a drum machine)!! No matter what you think of him he is a REAL musician! And before you say I don't know what I am talking about I have been a musician my whole life. I play many instruments and write. I was in one of the biggest bands out of Hollywood in the early 90's.
