legs need to be improved

I’ve got a big strong upper body but my legs definitely need to be improved
what are my buddies recommended that I do high volume on my legs and another friend recommended that I don’t do high volume I do low volume but I do heavier weights
a bit about me I’m 22 years old and I’ve been weight training for the past 3 years but now I want to take things serious.
Which strategy should I try?
 
try High weight and high volume and see how you do
 
make sure you hit your legs hard on the weekends
 
once a week is fine for the legs if you train them right
 
squats are a must they always work great
 
don't forget to do lunges they're a big help as well
 
I like to do hack squats and I like to go super heavy
 
Volume is going to get you better results than ego lifting with low reps. Volume really hammers in the details in the muscle fibers
