now beside the obvious of me needing to upgrade my wardrobe I need some insight.

ok tonight is my best friends birthday,a bunch of us are going out for diner then to the club.

Ive decided im going to wear some nice jeans and a light blue dress shirt topped off with casual black shoes and a leather jacket.

however im wondering if maybe a dress pant would look sharper and be better suited to the occasion, I have no brown shoes or id just wear khakis.

advices please

I like jeans with a dress shirt. I think that if your hair is 'on point' and you are looking neat and clean then all is good
 
Please don't do that. Every single twentysomething in North America will be wearing jeans, black shoes and a button down dress shirt out tonight. It obviously depends on you though - I'm sure you'll look fine in the outfit, but do you want to look like everyone else?

what kind of club? what kind of music?
 
killa thats exactly what I dont want,but choices are limited to the dress shirt or a ringer t,unless I just dress it up with black dress pants.

we are actually going to two clubs, the first is a country bar,the second will be house,drum and bass etc
 
i want both sides lol,the women well I want to fuck them,and killa is a styling italian so Im torn .

holy shit, that's two totally different environments. damn. how about jeans, some cool shoes (not sure what you have to choose from) and some sort of a print collarless shirt? do you have any of those?
 
yeah but really for club attire I would go for the dress shirt w/the jeans.

I've never been to a country bar, so I can't speak on that. but a dude in a house type of club wearing jeans and a button down shirt screams BORING and uninteresting. and oak1 is neither

That sounds good too....I would just stick with the jeans is all I was saying......clubbing in dress slacks...NOT!!

Hey now....watch it. I would be the 1st one to admit that anytime there is a news cast or movie about Louisiana they always pick the biggest dumb ass missing 1/2 his/her teeth to represent us....But there is also the other side just like anywhere. I have style!!!

but I do know that LA (is that the abbreviation) isn't all backwoods bumpkins? just frisky and feisty. and you
 
I'd skip leather and go with a black or navy blazer. I wore the same thing last night but with a natural silk jacket. Natural colored silk can tend to look bad under club lighting however, so I'd go with dark in the club. I was also sockless, ymmv on that.

me to,im definately not in shape i use to be,got lazy and shit so I think the blue shirt hides my weak points and lets me look casual aswell.

I like the second pic for the club. you're big and have a shaved head - wear jeans and a tight printed collarless shirt. it works.

just wanted to point out how you contradict yourself 100% - judging someone as "nice" is still judging someone. You then judge frisky and fesity based on them being from the south.

There's no accounting for taste KB. I'll be curious what he decided to wear. The blue shirt with some nice dress slacks would have been a better choice. But what do I know I'm from Calif. :)

fucked if I know dude that mirror is in my parents room,only one I could use, prob something me or my sister had as kids,you know how moms are keeping everything.

btw had a fun night,didnt drink much,and only went to the country bar,kinda dissapointed but my buddy had fun
