I'm a walking catastrophe area. I have a high threshold for pain combined with a tendency to bruise, so I'm always discovering "mystery bruises."
For two weeks, I've sported a nice, rainbow-hued circle on the inside of my left wrist, the result of gesturing while talking and ramming my wrist against a bar.
Wednesday takes the cake, though. It was speed bench day. For tricep work I decided to do the rolling tricep extensions I'd seen Spatts do in a video.
I decided to forego the "rolling" part when I neglected to pull the dumbbells far enough apart on the return and wound up slamming two 20-pound dumbbells against my temples.
Owie!
Now I have matching bruises on either side of my forehead.
What a maroon!
